Hectic schedule like any other medical course
Difficult to enjoy personal time because of time constraints

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus is based on the guidelines provided by NMC for mbbs course. Curriculum contains both theoretical and practical aspects.Exams contain problem oriented questions to prepare for real life.Case based scenarios are also included

Internships Opportunities

1 year compulsory internship in the hospital attached as per NMC guidelines is provided. Students are posted into different departments and are rotated among the departments every month so that all students have exposure to all departments.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure - 1lakh per year tution fees with 10% increment every year. Hostel is mandatory. Hostel + mess fees comes around 2 -2.5 lakhs. Anandibai Gopal scholarship is provided to top 5 students as per meet ug marks. tution fees is 100% sponsored under this scholarship.

Campus Life

"Avyana " is the annual fest conducted by SMCW.It is a cultural+ sports fest encompassing a number of activities and competitions.Other than that students also have access to other fests conducted under the same University by different colleges

Hostel Facilities

One bed, one bookshelf, one wardrobe,one chair and study table are provided. Mattress is also given with the bed .Also induction, microwave , kettle, refrigerator are provided in the common rooms. 3 students per room.

Admission

Admission is through Neet UG exam .Cut off for this college is around 540+ marks in neet UG. Admission process is through counselling conducted by NMC under all India quota. Fee structure is different for general seats and NRI seats. No quota seats for SC ST OBC categories.

The admission process is by NEET score strictly which follows a counselling. I didn't apply for any other colleges as this is the lowest fees private medical college in India. Admission process is pretty smooth, it's just document verification and other things related to that. The counselling takes place in three rounds. SMCW at a glance

I chose the college for the reviews I'd received from seniors and on comparison with other similar colleges. As compared to other deemed colleges of the country, SMCW is relatively affordable. On coming here I realised the faculty was truly helpful and the exposure in the general was good. Added to this was the infrastructure, the ambience at the campus which makes one feel close to nature at all times and is a serene place to study in.
