My campus stories by Jassir Ali

I chose bsc Computer science cause i have an interest in learning languages. But I didn't knew that maths and statistics had a big part in this degree. I'm a little bad at both. And I don't think computer science doesn't require maths in it. Or maybe we can use some basic maths. But prioritising maths will not offer anything better in this degree. Then I will prefer more practical sessions. Because learning languages is more of a practical thing. So theory can show to the way. But practical will teach and help you to learn faster and more efficiently. Difficulty level of syllabus and exams are fine for me. This degree offers more to the real world cause this is an IT era. Everything know a days becomes digitalized. So the job opportunities are high too.

For me every degree fees are really high when you realise that we can learn those things for almost free if we use our resources well. I need 32 k per year for my degree. It is really high for me. They don't even give us any internships or placement assists. So I don't think they are doing their jobs completely and honestly. If they can't help us getting something useful other than a degree , then they aren't doing their job well.

We don't have much to say about a campus. Its a small place without any campus ambience. But we do have couple of things to enjoy like college days , festival programmes , elections, arts and sports , etc.. We do enjoy all these. There is so much fun in there. Especially Friendships , the best every college can offer. Also we do have a library even though it is small. We also have a small canteen. Overall you can't call it as a nice campus. But we enjoy it to the best.

Admission process wasn't that easy for me. I didn't have much marks to choose a government college. So I opted for private college. They didn't have any entrance test. First I applied there through admission quota. I didn't get selected at the first entry. Then in the second entry I got a call from my college. Application process there wasn't that easy . I had to bring so many documents. Then after that they gave me admission. I didn't had to pay management quota fee cause I was selected through merit quota. So they didn't charge me anything more.
