Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am a student in the Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering branch at our college, which is affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. The curriculum predominantly leans towards theoretical knowledge, which, in my opinion, might not be ideal. However, the college actively organizes workshops and guest lectures to supplement theoretical learning with practical insights and industry-related skills. Our semester exams occur twice a year, encompassing both practical and theoretical papers. The difficulty level of these exams is moderate. This approach ensures a holistic evaluation of our understanding and application of the subjects.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee structure in our college is approximately one lakh, covering all fees, including tuition fees. An encouraging aspect is the availability of various Maharashtra government scholarship schemes. OBC category students receive a fifty percent scholarship, while SC/ST category students are granted a hundred percent scholarship. However, it’s noteworthy that our college currently doesn’t offer campus employment opportunities. Despite this, the accessibility of government scholarships significantly eases the financial burden for eligible students. Overall, the fee structure and scholarship support contribute positively to the affordability of education in our college.

Campus Life

4.5

Sipna College of engineering and technology provides an amazing campus life experience. The large, nature-filled campus hosts a variety of extracurricular activities, making it vibrant and engaging. Enjjoyy fest, our cultural extravaganza, stands out as the best college fest in Amravati. Technical events like hackathons, project exhibitions, and robotic workshops empower students to excel in their technical skills.Classrooms are well-equipped with essential equipment, fostering an optimal learning environment. The college has a commendable sports record, with students securing color coats annually, and our cricket team stands out as one of the best in the university. Diverse clubs, including music, coding, and sports, contribute to the holistic development of students. NSS activities, in which I actively participate as a volunteer, create a cultural impact on society, showcasing the college’s commitment to community engagement.

Admission

I am a student from Sipna College of engineering and technology in Bandera. To secure admission to our college, two engineering entrance exams, MHT CET and JEE Mains, are mandatory. MHT CET has a moderate to hard difficulty level, while JEE Mains is notably challenging. After the exams, the admission process involves the CAP round, where you submit your preferred college list. If your score meets the college cutoff, you secure admission. Following this, a visit to the college campus is required for the admission process to proceed further. Our college provides various reservation benefits, and students can avail themselves of Maharashtra government scholarships. Overall, the admission process is comprehensive, with both entrance exams playing a crucial role, and the CAP round ensuring fairness in college allocation. In terms of improvement, better communication channels and simplified administrative procedures could enhance the overall admission experience.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester itself. Last year a ton of companies visited the campus right from TCS, Infosys, and Accenture to ZS associates, Veritas, etc. There is a good opportunity for nontech branches also in the college, the package is not high but it is good. According to the college, almost 78% of students got the placements. The highest packages were 45 LPA Amazon, 44 LPA Microsoft, and 36.5 LPA D.E.Shaw. The majority of the placements above 12 LPA were off campus, few were on campus. My plans after getting a degree are to be placed in good company with a good package

Course Curriculum Overview:

All the students are given electives to choose and we also have the compulsory courses too, common for all. The electives could be chosen based on varied interests of students and are very engaging. The compulsory courses are chosen and kept very wisely and are essential for computer science and engineering students. The courses and evaluation plans are very well created and curated for students to be able to solve real world problems too later in professional and personal lives. There aren't much suggestions and areas to improve as of now. Exams and tests are conducted almost every two weeks. This keeps the students keen on learning and practicing all the while and doesn't let them slag in between the semester. The exams are monitored from the headquarters at Pune, and hence all is kept under check and maintained.
