Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is somewhat relevant according to the real-world applications. As in MBA, the course compliances traditional approaches as compared to PGDM but still we have subjects like Business Analytics for Marketing, Marketing Research etc. which are technical subjects and helpful in real corporate world.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, lots of companies visited here for internship opportunities. If any student wishes to opting an internship on their own or off-campus then they can easily do this. Every company has their stipend criteria and role as well. Companies offered roles according to the specializations.
Placement Experience
The placements of our college are also fine but those who have targeted better ROI, then they might have some disappointments from college placements. Our college charges a total fee of Rs. 22-23 L but in return they offer an average package of just only 8-9 L so it might create disappointment who target better ROI. Rest we have a dedicated placement committee who are responsible for better placements of students.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is quite high, especially for those students who have a budget of not more than 10-15 Lakhs. The complete cost of education is 22-23 L for 2 years which includes living, mess food, library, examination charges etc. College didn't charge a single penny from us apart from this. No there is not any kind of campus employment available in our campus.
Campus Life
The campus life is really amazing. Symbiosis does provide not only an MBA, they have courses like Law, Engineering, Architecture etc. and their institutes are located on our same campus. We have lots of events together, we play sports together, have lots of interaction with each other etc. So, this makes our campus life far better.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are also decent. We have twin-sharing rooms, triple-sharing rooms and quad-sharing rooms but I chose to live in a twin-sharing room. Each room is fully air-conditioned, separate bathroom and toilets, a drying area, a balcony etc. Each floor has its own pantry in which student can cook anything of their choice. Mess food quality is not like a home food but yes far better than other hostel's mess.
Admission
The basic eligibility of this course is you need to graduate from any stream or any branch of study. Application forms are available online easily. Application form fees are Rs. 1800 per exam, if you want to take 1 or more exams then you need to pay Rs. 1800 separately for them. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate. Reservation benefits are given to SC & ST students.
Interview Experience
Yes, after clearing the cutoff of the SNAP exam there were 3 more rounds for admission i.e. Written ability test, Group discussion and personal interview. You need to score well in all these rounds to get a chance in the final admission merit list. Another criterion for admission is the Management quota, some of the students are here through the management quota. In this quota, they charge double the amount from you.
Other Applied Colleges
Great Lakes Institute of Management | Post Graduate Programme in Management [PGPM]
My score didn't met the cutoff of required entrance exams like CAT, XAT
