Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is vast and comprehensive, with a lot of case studies and faculties from the corporate world sharing real life information. First year is very hectic with assignments, quizzes and presentations almost every week. Also the number of subjects is also high so that adds to the hectic schedule. The college follows the trimester system. Second year one get the option to choose the subjects they want based on their specialization. Although the number of subjects offered is wide, not all add much value. Also the faculty for a few subjects though have a lot of knowledge, fail to impart properly.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship opportunities to the first years and is a compulsory part of the degree. The college claims 100% placements with around 130+ companies visiting the campus from FMCG, IT, finance and operations and offer a variety of roles.
Placement Experience
The final placements generally starts from the month of November. Generally 120+ companies visit the campus offering a variety of roles. The highest package was around 67 lacs and the average was about 26 lacs. The college claims 100% placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total is fees is around 24 lacs which had remained the same for the past 2 years but for the new batch of 2024-26, it has been increased to around 25 lacs. The overall living cost (education+ stay)can range from 30-35 lacs The college offers scholarship to the top 50 merit students of approx 2.5 lacs, there are a few other scholarship as well whose details can be found on the website. The college provides internship and final placements as well.
Campus Life
The college has clubs from every field - sports, finance, marketing, quiz, social work, etc., with the student council overseeing all of them. The library has a large collection of books and journals and you also get access of several online journals as well. The library also has Bloomberg portal for finance enthusiasts. All the classes have smart boards and plug points for students at the desks. The main cultural event - Euphoria, takes place in the month of March. While the other events organised by the clubs are scattered all around the year. The college does not have any field for outdoor sports but has a games room with table tennis, carrom and pool tables. The student life depends a lot on how involved he/she is in clubs and other activities.
Admission
The eligibility of the course is on par with other b-schools, freshers and work experience people both can take admission. One needs to clear NMAT, which happens thrice although NMIMS Mumbai considers only the first attempt while other branches accept other attempts as well. The cut-off generally remains around 230-232. There are sectional cut-offs as well. The exam is not that difficult in terms of the questions, but one needs to be quick in answering them. The application forms and other details can be found on the official website. The admission process includes a watson glacer test and a PI. One has to travel to Mumbai for that. Both the processes are not that difficult. The only thing I would like to improve is to have either virtual or centres in major cities for the admission process.
Interview Experience
The admission process doesn't have any GD but a critical thinking exam called Watson Glacer and a PI. Although the process can change as per the college. I prepared for the watson glacer test by practicing 2-3 mocks online and for the PI from my coaching centre.
