Course Curriculum Overview
I'm studying Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering at our college, affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. The study focus is mostly on theory, which I feel might not be the best. However, the college makes an effort by organizing workshops and guest lectures to add practical insights and industry skills to our learning. We have semester exams twice a year covering both theory and practical papers. The exams are moderately challenging, providing a fair assessment of our understanding and application of the subjects.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees in our college are about one lakh, including everything. The good part is, there are different Maharashtra government scholarships. OBC students get a fifty percent discount, and SC/ST students get a full hundred percent off. But, our college doesn't have on-campus jobs right now. Even though, with the government scholarships, students who qualify can manage the costs better. In general, the fees and scholarships make education here affordable.
Campus Life
Prof Ram Meghe College of Engineering And Management offers an awesome campus life. The big, nature-filled campus has lots of fun activities, making it lively and interesting. Our Enjjoyy fest, a big cultural celebration, is the best college fest in Amravati. For tech enthusiasts, there are events like hackathons, project exhibitions, and robotic workshops to boost technical skills. Our classrooms are well-stocked with important stuff, making it a great place to learn. We also have a strong sports tradition – students get color coats every year, and our cricket team is one of the best in the university. Various clubs for music, coding, and sports help students grow in different ways. I volunteer for NSS activities, which make a positive impact on society, showing our college's dedication to community involvement.
Admission
At Prof Ram Meghe College of Engineering and Management in Bandera, to get into the college, you need to pass two entrance exams – MHT CET, which is moderately difficult, and JEE Mains, which is quite tough. After the exams, you submit your preferred college choices in the CAP round. If your score is good enough, you get admission. After that, you need to visit the college campus to complete the admission process. The college offers reservation benefits and Maharashtra government scholarships. The admission process is thorough, with both entrance exams being important, and the CAP round ensuring fairness in allocating colleges. To improve, better communication and simpler administrative procedures could make the admission process even better.
