Computer science at IPEC

College is located in an industrial area so many days you would smell a foul industrial waste smell.

I went to the college before counseling session to inquire about the faculty, resources, library, etc. They had a strong faculty base and their resources were enough for a good exposure to conceptual and practical knowledge.

Pretty standard with 1st year focussing on foundation concepts and by the fourth year the weight shifts to the practical and project work. 8 semesters with 5 theory and 5 practical subjects in addition to a few other project work. Each semester had one humanity subject to give an overall intellectual development

I got placed before I passed out plus there are many mass placement interviews scheduled before the final term.i would say it is quite bankable for a decent tier 2 job mostly. Tier 1 jobs are less frequent in terms of on-campus placements.

I myself was Part of many festivals and events in college. There are 4 main events in addition to few more smaller ones. The fresher's party, tech fest, cultural fest and the farewell were the main events of the year. The cultural fest would generally end with a very well known artist coming in to perform.

Scholarships are offered to a few students based on financial condition and merit. I am not aware of a loan facility specially organized by the college.

Campus life was fun because of the people and partially because of the college amenities. gender ratio like any engineering college was male-heavy.there is an amphitheatre theater for big events and an indoor auditorium moderately equipped for formal events. The lawn was not big enough for a game of football or cricket but big enough for walks and relaxing.

That is one area where the college did not provide acceptable services during the time I was there. But I was a day scholar so can't comment in detail. the water coolers were not clean enough. The common bathrooms were not maintained very well. the food quality and taste would mostly be disappointing.

Senior students were really helpful in terms of sharing their experiences and helping with few subjects.

Exams are not easy to score in if you don't really prepare well in advance. 150 marks are allotted to each subject(practical + theory), 100 out of which is the university exam and 50 marks are internal exams.out of the hundred 70 marks are for theory and 30 are for practical

I gave the entrance exam which was very standard(physics chemistry mathematics objective style),got my rank according to which my counselling session was booked, where I had to decide my preferred college and preferred course.soon enough got my confirmation where I was asked to pay the fee to secure my seat for the course.

Above average faculty for most subjects. Really good professors for most of the standard subjects. But some of the non-traditional subjects like artificial intelligence had no specialist teacher.
