Likes

Campus life very good. Seniors, faculty are quite supportive.
Fests, Sports, Clubs are super active and are always welcoming the freshers.

Dislikes

The hostels could be more spacious, like 2 members per room or something.
The state "Uttar Pradesh" is not very good according to safety. But you can still go everywhere with safety measures.
Electrical course is quite cast and but tough compared to other courses. But you can make it if you concentrate well.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is a bit hard for me. Like it's not the way as it is school. But the faculty and staff are quite supportive. Sources such as library are also available. I decided to get into this course is of course just because of my rank in advanced. 2 exams would be conducted for every semester: Mids and End term.

Class Size: 140Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I'm in the first so I don't much about intership opportunities. But as I heard from our seniors, it is pretty good. You can maintain a 7-9 CPI and get good opportunities in the final year. The average package is about 26-28 lakhs I guess. The percentage of placements is also very good.

Placement Experience

The placements are excellent according to my knowledge. The average package for electrical department in our college is about 27 lakhs per annum. And the percentage of placements is also 90%+. If you don't get into campus placement we can just go for MS in foreign countries or even do a PhD or mtech in the college, there are many ways out.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee for General and OBC categories is 1,50,000 per semester approx with mess fee included. There are some special financial aids for SC and ST categories and I guess EWS categories also. About the campus employment according to what I've known, it has pretty placement percentage.

Campus Life

Campus life is good. There are many clubs, fests throughout the year. Infrastructure is really good on the outside. The hostels are not too good but I guess it's fine as long as it's a campus with good placements! There will be sports fests also where you get to interact with other IITs teams. Clubs are also very active in every fest.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is okay. I mean the facilities are good but as there would be three members per room it's not that comfortable but you'll get used to it. Meal quality is of course very good. The even provide a South Indian mess specially for the South people. Registration process is quite long but very affordable.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

I got into this college through JEE advanced exam for which you have qualify in JEE mains. The admission process is same as the other engineering colleges, where you have select colleges according to your rank in counseling and then you have 6-7 rounds where a college according to your rank will be given. Selecting the college, enquiring about them through friends and relatives went a bit rough.

Placement Experience:

Form the beginning of very first year students are eligible for the campus placements. TCS, cognizant, wipro, are the some companies visited here. Highest package is 44 lpa in amazon which is off campus for software role. Placements % is quite medium if you are serious about skill then you will be get a path here to go ahead. Arround 60 to 70 is the placement % My plans after getting degree is to get a job.

GLA University Mathura is Great!

Placement Experience:

Average package at GLA University may range between 5-7 lakhs but one student has managed to get placements of 55 lakhs and that is still the record placement from GLA University campus Mathura. Around 70-75% students are placed every year but I will be preparing for GATE as my ambition are to be atleast post graduate if not a PHD.

Good for learning and Skill development

Placement Experience:

Mostly te 6th sem (3rd year) got eligible for campus placement. Amazon, Accenture, AVL India, Atlan and many others (about 900+) visited and made 4000+ offers. The ave. package is about 5.25 LPA and highest crossed 39 LPA. Above 60%+ got their placement and the persentage of students receiving multiple offer is about 32%. After degrre want to build a strong carrer and to contribute in the grouth of Bharat.

Honest Opinion on IIIT ALLAHABAD

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester, many students get into the internship and many gets further preplacement through it. The companies visted are google, atlassian, flipkart, qualcomm, samsung, phone pe etc. Highest package is 1.21CR per annum. Average package is 30LPA 90% students got placed. Private job is the plan after getting the degree. 90% students gets placed.

So entry in IIT BHU was through JEE ADVANCE. I gave the examination and got an All India Rank(AIR) of 7533. Then I had Josaa counselling where I had to select colleges according to my priorities. So one of the many colleges I filled was IIT BHU(4 Year B.TECH Chemical Branch). The distribution of colleges is purely based on your ranks. Higher rankers will be prefferd above you.
