What Students Say

Likes

The Spacious Campus , The student Life , Of course my friends , and generally Everything.
The Fests are like a celebration and it just keeps getting better every year.
The Regional festivals are also celebrated on a very grand scale .

Dislikes

Nothing I dislike about my College as of now.
If It had to be one thing I would the NIRF ranking is low currently compared to other 2nd gen IITs but it very soon Improve.

Course Curriculum Overview

I did say that We have got a well updated Course for almost all Department a Very Big and beautiful campus with work being done almost everyday to improve it.The Professors are all well versed in their field and can help you with any particular field of research you are interested in.

Class Size: 98Course Fees: INR 236000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

No the tuition fees is not hiked from when I have joined the college . There are a lot of scholarship opportunities for almost everyone and the college itself sends you mail regarding it to avail if applicable by you . No campus employment is not allowed in our campus as it is in the hills (almost) so we can't go out to work and maintain our student life balance.

Campus Life

We have got great social life on our campus first of all we have 4 fests Namely Wissenaire -The Annual tech fest , Alma Fiesta -The Annual socio Cultural Fest, E Summit- The Annual Entrepreneurship Conclave and Ashvamedha -The Annual sports fest. We have got a decent sized library . And we have got so many societies for extra curricular activities which are controlled by the student body Gymkhana.

Hostel Facilities

Since we are second generation IIT all the hostels are new and some are old but the new buildings are top class hostels we have some of the best hostels . A single room is provided for every year and to every student , every student gets table , a bed and a very spacious Cupboard. The food as you know Engineering college so can't expect very good food but it's generally manageable.

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

Admission

I took the JEE Mains and JEE Advanced Exams to get into IIT Bhubaneshwar and My Category also helped me in that regards. We are having CST team to guide students during Admission so it's a very smooth process. I took Electrical engineering and the course is well designed we have two major exams per semester Mid sems and End Sems and they are of pretty good level.

Placement Experience:

My Campus Life

Placement Experience:

After your 7th semi you will be eligible for campus placements Several reputed companies such as infosys,Wipro etc have visited our campus around my graduation time. The highest package offered was 6 LPA by infosys for the role of Data analyst while the average package stood at around 2.5 LPA to 3.2LPA . Approximately 60% or 6.5 CGPA secured students will be eligible for placements through campus drives. After obtaining my degree, I plan to Pursue higher studies like Mtech in a IIT'S or Niit hence i prepared for Gate 2 yrs .But meanwhile i was preparing for to get a job to take the responsibility of family so i started my carrer a a software developer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We specifically study about circuit analysis and electrical machines in our electrical engineering. In laboratory we study about how electrical machines work in different circuits and different connections. We also study about analog electronics circuit. We are tested in our laboratory to perform practicals. We are also given assignments and questioned well in our viva to prepare us for our future campus selections. The question paper is equally difficult to make us ready for seminars and project preparation.

An Honest Review of My college Experience

Placement Experience:

After 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies visited to our college like Tata,Wipro, TCS, Infosys and Accenture etc . Our highest package in computer science is 1200000 per annum and Average package is 500000 per annum. Percentage of students getting placement is actually varies by year and course and average 40 to 50% students get the placement offers . My plan is qualifying gate with a good rank and do my higher study mtech.

MY EXPERIENCE IN JUST 6 MONTHS

I APPLIED ALL THE IITs AND i.e THERE ARE 23 IITs IN INDIA. I GOT CONFIRMED ADMISSION FROM ALL THE 23 IITs AND SOME OF THE NITs.
