Life at IIT Gandhinagar

I choose material science because it was best at my rank and also for my interest. IIT system is very great for teaching and conducting labs and experiments. Industrial visit occurs in 2nd and 3rd year. Overall the system is good but 1 or 2 professor does not prepare slides and does not provide enough study material expect book. So students faces problems. Exams are taken in two phases -midsem and end sem. Difficulty is moderate level.

I have already mentioned about it. Again not very much opportunity for internship are available. Mostly IT companies come and give intern to cs students mostly. You have to pass 2 steps of exams and one interview round

Placements are not very great, but good enough. CSE and electrical branch students get high packages than others. From 7th sem, students are eligible for placements. Highest is 6500000 and average is 1600000 as per last year. Almost 92% students gets placements. I want to take placements after btech.

Tution fee is 200000 per year and 800000 for entire course. College provides scholarship students who have family income less than 250000. You can do part time job in college and you get money as per dedicated hours.

Techical fest - Amalthia in November Cultural fest - Blithchrone in February Almost every well known book and journal is in the library Classroom have great facilities with all update technology. Sports Complex have almost all sports courts and grounds including swimming pool. Amalthia and blithchrone are also student run clubs. Media public relations, photography club, art club, pdc, cds, business guide club etc. Student give their time and also enjoy and learn also.

Hostels are newly made. Have great facility. Rooms have air conditioner, almirah, fans and wifi. Hostels have kitchen, common room, clean washrooms, badminton courts. Mess is also provide good food. Specially breakfast is very delicious.
