I applied for other govt colleges like NIT Raipur, IIIT Naya Raipur and also a private college named SRM University. I choose BIT Durg because here I was selected simply in terms of merit, as compared to other govt colleges where I fell a little bit short. The reason for not getting selected in other good govt colleges was because of less number of overall marks I scored in JEE mains examination. I gave an entrance exam that is PET( pre engineering test) state level and I've scored 2999 all over rank and 300 something in category. Cut off of the BIT Durg is high so I didnot get a seat in 1st 2nd round of counseling but I got seat in my third counseling.There is 15% seats are reserved for the management quota.
