Internships Opportunities
Yes , MNIT does provide internships Major companies which come to MNIT for internship regarding CSE are Adobe, de shaw, microsoft, cognizant etc Stipend varies from company to company same goes with the work environment. Last year Adobe provided 50000 stipend for a 2 month internship to some students
Placement Experience
As compared to the rest of the NITS placement at MNIT are comparatively better. The average placement for the CSE branch is around 12 Lacs and the highest packages go as high as 35 to 40 Lacs. The scope for other branches is relatively low as compared to CSE still they all manage to give a average package ranging between 4 to 6 Lacs per annum.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is divided in three parts based on the total family income of the students. Three slabs are for 1 lac and below , 1 to 5 lacs and above 5 lacs. Their are further benefits for the reserved students . The slab system makes it feasible for all to afford the fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Their are quite a number of scholarship which a student can get based on his state eligibility, caste , branch and scores in the exam Colleges notification keeps you alerted about the scholarships and it also has a section on the official site which is completely devoted for the same. Different state government gives different scholarships to the students.
Alumni/Alumna
The interaction with seniors depends on the student. If he is active enough he can get a lot of exposure from the seniors. Ragging is completely banned in college and there are no such signs of students being teased by the senior. The best place for interaction is the fest with providing students opportunity to work side by side together with seniors and other classmates.
Exam Structure
MNIT conducts 3 papers per subject per semester. 2 mid terms each having 20 marks and 1 end term having 40 marks, rest 20 marks are with the faculty which are given on different basis such as projects , attendence , quizzes and many more depending on the professor.
Admission
Once the ranks are out and the addmission process starts , you have to fill your preferred choices and if you get MNIT as your choice then simply visit the college with all your original documents also take 2 photocopies of each along with your photograph and aadhar card etc Addmission process is quite simple and their will be people guiding you throughout the process It will take you around 3 to 4 hours to complete the process depending upon the number of other students You will also be required to give a medical certificate format of which can be downloaded from the jossa site. Some documents can also be submitted later so don't worry if you miss something
Faculty
MNIT has a vast team of faculty which includes Ph.D. holders. It also has many guest faculty even from the IITs. While the faculty members are experienced and well qualified.
