Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have opted for banking and financial services as my specialisation for only one purpose, i.e. not to restrict my learning and thankfully the course fulfills that purpose very well. In the intial days of program, we had a foundation course of 1 month in which we were taught the basics of case learning, excel, quantitative aptitude. After that our main course started which covers whole finance, from the very basic of finance like financial accounting to courses like business valuation. Exams are happed after every 10-11 weeks and questions mostly covers the topics which were taught in the class. So to score good in the exams, one must have attended the class.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the fees of our program is 19.5L. This sounds a huge amount but lets understand what are the aspects it covers, first is tuition fees obviously, then other charges like security depost, alumni fees etc. Now what is interesting here is that this fees also includes your hostel fees and mess fees. So logically you need not to spend a penny if you are at IMT G. Also there are additional benefits like 24x7 access to bloomberg terminal. Also there are 25% scholarship available for women candidates and there is a option called tuition fees waiver which is provided to people who are financially not able to afford the cost

Campus Life

5

The library of IMT Ghaziabad is one of the best libraries I have visited so far. There are all kinds of books available and apart from that there is also finance lab where you have 24x7 access to the bloomberg terminal. Apart from this there are variously clubs and committees which keeps the campus life lively, brings important short term projects and conducts various competitions for us. Some of the famous events we have in our college are Passion which happens in the month of December then Chakravyuh, the olympic of B schools, in the month of February .

Admission

The students got shortlisted on the basis of their CAT/XAT/GMAT score. Apart from this, people also received shortlisting on the profile basis, in case they have exceptional performance in either academics, sports or work experience .All the admission details was available on the website including fees details, program structure, last date of application. The admission process tested people's critical thinking, analytical thinking and communication skills. Overall the process was very smooth and exciting.

Interview Experience

5

Yes there was a critical test for the admission process which tests your writing abilities, creativity and innovation skills. After that there was personal interview in which questions are generally HR based and past experience, if applicable.

Placement Experience:

Firstly speaking, no college can provide you placement. If you don't have that capability to catch that placement. Yes, majorly most of the students got placement. The highest placement which I have seen from my eyes was eight LPA, which was quite good if we see from starting if a new B is coming and he's got eight LPA, then it's really good, and yes, this college promises you that it will provide you placement, but the only condition is that you should be well-behaved and obey all the rules and regulations of this college. If you don't have that capability, you yourself can't do it. Yes, every year companies like Wipro companies like Amazon company companies like Flipkrt comes in this college and takes many of the students.
