Course Curriculum Overview
I chose MBA because business was my area of interest since beginning and I believe that this course would help me understand the basics of business. The faculties are qualified and the teaching methods are pretty basic but at the same time the faculties are really supportive. There are mid term and end term exams in each semester and the level of difficulty is not that high of the papers.
Internships Opportunities
The company that I got selected in is Finoability which offers a total of 10K stipend and the role that I was offered was as a portfolio manager and a wealth manager. The internship process was smmoth.
Placement Experience
From the third semester students become eligible for placements and a lot of companies visit the campus and the interviews are scheduled on a regular basis. The average package offered by the comapnies are between 6 to 10 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of this university is pretty high for the general category but the placements are good too. I did not enroll under any scholarship for this course. we are provided opputunities for summer internships and final placements in top companies from the campus.
Campus Life
The annual fest happening in the college is MANIFEST. It is usually conducted in the month of January or February. The Infrastucture of our campus is the main attraction and the events also occur regularly. There are many clubs and committees too which help the students learn in different areas.
Hostel Facilities
All the basic facilities are provided in the room but the cooperation from the hostel staff is not up to the mark. The quality of food is also not good inside the campus and the registration process for the hostel was quite a hassle too.
Admission
The admission process was quite simple. I appeared for the SNAP exam and scored 81 percentile. I was then shortlisted for SIBM Nagpur and was guided for further rounds. There was a written ability test conducted and later we were informed about the GD and PI round. The application process and details were explained on the website of SIU.
Interview Experience
There were three rounds including Written ability test, Group discussion and Personal Interview. The process was smooth and the panel was cooperative. The topics were based on current affairs and the overall experience was pretty good.
