Better in a lot of ways

College is good about its alumni, faculty, society, canteen,etc. College management is better if compared to other colleges.

I gave JEE(joint entrance exam) and scored 86 out of a total of 360. I couldn't score much in board exams. I have an interest in circuits, like how they work, what really happens and all, also the telecommunications, I wanted to get a degree in computer science/mechanical engineering but a lot of people said they are hard so I chose to electronics and telecommunication.

As our college DYPCOE, Akurdi comes under savitribai phule pune university all academics are conducted by the sppu university. Savitribai Phule Pune university provided a course syllabus and according to that teachers took classes and practicals. The course included everything about electronics and telecommunications engineering.

DYPCOE, Akurdi doesn't provide specialized internships but the teachers give reference to other companies that may give internships with or without stipend.

D Y Patil college of engineering, Akurdi has a department especially for training and placements which has well experienced and well educated to train the students and provide good placements. The college has over 80% students placed who are graduated who are eligible according to the criteria provided by a company.

The D Y Patil college of engineering, Akurdi conducted various events such as technical, outdoor and indoor events for the students. Specialized prizes are given to the winners of the events conducted. Technical events include robocon, tantrotsav, Karnak, events of various departments are conducted in the college.

As the college comes under savitribai phule pune university, the fee structure is provided by the university itself. The fee structure is feasible for the category, reservation students but it is expensive for students of open category. Exam fees are taken separately, according to the criteria provided by the university for students.

College or university does not provide loans but a student can take a loan from private banks.

The D Y Patil college of engineering, Akurdi has a gender ratio of 60% of males and 40% of females. The college campus life is better as the infrastructure is good and the campus community is good. The College has a workshop under its campus canteen. College conducts many extracurricular, sports, debates and many much other activities which improves a student in many ways.

D Y Patil college of engineering, Akurdi has separate hostels for male and female students. The hostel provides shared rooms for up to three students. Mess food is off course messy, mess provides three meals, breakfast, coffee a day. Hostel fees is about 1.2 lakhs.

In college campus, the seniors are easily available and we'll interactive. College alumni are also good, they are also interactive to the students.

It was easy and fast. Counselling through DTE, though I couldn't score much in boards but I scored good marks in entrance exam so I was having a good merit, in second round of counselling I got allotment letter and it was this college only. Admission process was handled by the college administration,

Most of the faculty is well experienced and educated. Everyone shows interest in their respective subjects to teach. Every teacher had their responsibility to teach the students, make then educated. Teachers always tried to clear all the concepts. Practical batches were arranged separately to have a hands-on experience to all the students.
