Likes

The collage has beautiful rural campus which I most like.
The collage has good connectivity because the baruipur Junction.

Dislikes

The fine is imposed on student due to late semester fees.
The lab are not so well maintained and many equipment are broken

Course Curriculum Overview

I take admission in Electrical engineering because I like Electrical Engineering. College has low faculty student ratio and Electrical and civil engineering departments has very low ratio. Some of the teachers are good qualified and their doubts clearance techniques are good but most of the teachers classes are poor quality. There is regular classes in the college if you do not attend classes fine will impose on you. There will assignments presure on you during the course.

Class Size: 55Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience

If any student want a good quality job by on campusing from this collage then this collage is not for him/her. To get a good job through off campusing you have to do hard work and self study collage is not so helpful in this case. In 4th year a few student get internship on their own eligibility. Highest ever package is 7lpa by TCS in previous year.

Fees and Financial Aid

In first year college fees is low but 2nd,3rd and 4th year has higer fees. If any student fail to pay semester fees in date then fine will impose on student. College do not provide any lone or financial assistance. Student can get state government scholarship svmcm according their eligibility.

Campus Life

College has good library facilities for self study. Many cultural activities like holi, diwali also organise by college. Student of the college organise a teacher's day and anual fests. Class rooms of the college are not well maintained civil, mechanical and electrical Class room has very bad condition. A smart Class room is available only for computer science student. College student also participate in tech fest and inter college sports competition.

Admission

10+2 with physics,chemistry and mathematics are required for 4 year undergraduate courses and 3 year lateral entry also available for diploma student. Student can take admission through wbjee or direct admission through the college contact. If someone has tfw quota the he/she can get reservation. IIT KGP: The kgpian way

Placement Experience:

4 yr btech students are eligible for cdc internship from the starting of their 3rd yr(5th sem) and for placement 7th sem. 5 yr dual degree students are eligible for cdc internship from the starting of 4th yr(7th sem) and for placement 9th sem. So many different profile companies came for placements like amazon, google, ibm, apple, l&t, wipro, infosys, texas intrument, etc. Highest package was 3cr and average is about 20-25 lakhs. Insightful Review - Revealing about campus life and academics.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from 7th semeter. Companies visited till now are : tejes - 9lpa, keysite - 7lpa, streebo - 5lpa and a few other product based companies with average pakage offered about 3lpa. Higest pakage - salesforce (32 lpa) off campus, keysite (7lpa) on campus. Last year 60% of total students from final year got placed. My plans is to purusue a higher degree as placement scene of your college is not that great and also i have intrest in ai/ml so i want to study future and dive more deep into its concepts

Indusrrial training is provided to us and engineering industries like L&T, Bhel, IRS and HAL among others which are in full swing are among the colleges that hires IIT KGP students with an average package of no less than 15-18 lakhs yearly.

The course curriculum is not that different from other colleges. At the beginning or 1 st semester we are made to complete the bridge course which basically includes stuff we read in classes 11 and 12. But then also they can't teach properly the already read topics.

GMIT IS THE BEST ENGINEERING COLLEGE IN SOUTH 24 PARGANAS

I am really satisfied with the facilities that the college provides us

I came to know about this college through a pre-counseling seminar after WBJEE. Once I got information about the college I visited the campus and was really impressed after meeting the faculty members and visiting the workshop and campus. I got admitted to the college in June, 2019. I preferred this college because I loved the environment of the college campus and certainly the infrastructure. Moreover, the college overall has a good placement and has a ragging free campus.
