My wonderful journey of PGDM in IMI Bhubaneswar

The Course structure is similar to top tier institutes. the Faculty and student ratio for each batch is 20: 180 or 1:9 (Which is a very positive thing as each teacher is assigned for 9 to 10 students as mentors) The theaching methods include student's participations in the class through case study discussion and role plays. 90% attendace is required in class for each individual students.

The Summer internship opportunies are provided by the college itself (Stipned and non stipned). Though the students have to crack the interviews and GDs to get the SIP opportunities. College works as afacilitators for this.

Placements are offered by the college. At the difficult year of 2024 there is only one placements are provided to 90% of the students. All the big brands like ICICI, HDFC, Cognizant, Infosys, PWC, KPMG, Dabur etc come to the campus and recruit good number of students.

The cOst is a bit high comparetively. Though there is some scholarship opportunities availabledepending on various points like merit, family income etc. Paid internships and Final Place ment is provided from the college.

LIfe at campus is very good. The college has a 16 acre lush green campus with gardens and flowers to decorate it all the times. It has huge play grounds of football, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball. It also has common rooms and play rooms with TT, Carrom, Pool boards, Fusball etc. It has a gym facility within the campus. Thera are two separeate residential buildings for boys and girls with two cafeterias. There are AC classrooms and all mordern teaching facilities present in the classrooms. There are several clubs and committies for students to lead as it is a student driven campus. Cultural committee and sports committee makes the campus a all time fun place. Other than that there are placement committee, Branding committee, Mess committee etc. There are various clubs like Marketing, Finance, HR, Oporations, Analytics clubs etc.

There are two hostel buildings for boys and girls each having cafeterias. There are double sharing rooms (AC/Non AC). The rooms have a bed, table, chairs, and attached bathrooms. daily cleaning is done. Food facility is average. Weekends have better food.

Eligibility are: 1. CAT, XAT, CMAT scores 2. CV selection 3. PI Application form is downloaded directly from college website. Other 3rd party institutions also provide the forms, through them the process is smoother. They charge a nominal fees to do that.

I did not faced any GD but I had to go through a PI interview with a pannel of 3 faculty members. The process was with moderate difficulty. Current affairs based questions and scenario based common sense questions was asked to test the candidates. Candidates integrity was also tested by asking questions from the CVs.
