What Students Say
Likes
- 16-acre lush green campus with beautiful colors all around
- Academic building and hostels are in walking distances
- Food is good, Nescafe cafeteria and a student managed knick knack shop is also there to satisfy your midnight hunger
Dislikes
- Placements here are majorly managed by students, which can be good and bad at the same time depending on their credibility
- It's located almost 15 km from the main city, so there's almost no urban facilities to avail
- Major food delivering chains such as McD and Dominos do not deliver here
Course Curriculum Overview
PGDM as a curriculum is way better than a MBA as it prerpares you with real life case studies, industry relevant courses and hands-on practical learning Of course the curriculum makes you industry ready, but to take an edge, you should direct your way towards a particular stream and be cautious at the time of selectinbg subjects. Class timings are quite varying, so it should rather be either consistent or decided by students The frequency of exams is on a higher side, you get substantially less time to prepare well for the exams, but its still considerable
Fees and Financial Aid
The complete academic fees is 12.99 lacs as of now, in which yearly it comes down to 6.5 lacs. Tuition fee: 11,55,000 Learning Materials: 1,00,000 Student welfare: 40,000 Library and information resources: 70,000 IT infrastructure: 30,000 Alumni-life membership fee: 20,000 Security Deposit (2025-27): 15,000 Total Fees: 14,30,000 (exclusive of hostel fees) Hostel Fee: 1,45,000 (per year) Merit based scholarships (upto 1,00,000) are available for those scoring above 90% in CAT or XAT Category based scholarships (1,00,000) are available for reserved categories
Campus Life
Flagship annual events include TedX, Phronesis, Sparx, etc which are organised in months starting Nov till Feb Events organised by clubs and committees are organised on a consistent basis throughout the year Infrastructure is definitely commendable, we have modern age classrooms with all the amenities that are necessary, of course its not perfect but its close to the mark Extracurricular activities are definitely something that college pays emphasis on, be it football, cricket or basketball. Every sports is given priority and we have dedicated areas to play as well. Prayas which is a CSR club here is really doing an absolutely commendable job.
Admission
I'll start with admission process, which here is a breeze, fill the form, one interview round, and you're in. Eligibility criteria is 65+ in CAT/XAT I loved the campus, the companies that visit here are also similar to what i'm looking for, so this became my preferred choice. Other colleges which i had in my go to list were Welingkar Mumbai and Bimtech Noida. I faced rejection from Bitsom, because though they accept forms from 75 percentilers but they reject them just before interview stage.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is 30-1 which is awesome and most of the faculties are 10/10. Approachability is also great as faculty cabins are located just above classrooms so you can visit them anytime after informing. The most respected and favourite faculty here is our Economics Professor Dr. Ramakrushna Panigrahi, he's the best in his domain and his interactions with students are something we will be going to cherish for our lifetime Next mention is our Honourable Director Professor P.C. Biswal, which teaches finance and he has only taken a single class till now but we remeber each topic he taught There's not really a particular faculty which i don't like, as we have monthly feedback surveys for faculty, they really thrive to do better everytime, which is the best part Course curriculum is a great if not perfect mix of theory and practical industry based learning, our course is divided into 6 semesters, i.e. 6 mid term and 6 end term exams. Only 5% of students might possibly on average are likely to fail exams, which are then allowed to sit again in the next semester for a re-exam after a nominal fee.
Interview Experience
In my interview, they asked me about my graduation, my work experience, my interests and why i want to pursue PGDM First you fill the form, if you clear all the eligibility checks, you sit for the interview and after that you're in. Just go through generally expected admission relted questions like intriduce yourself, your graduation subject based general questions and work ex related questions.
