The real and authentic review from the student of 2013-17batch.

I chose Electronics and communication engineering as my cousre. I chose this cousre because teachers from whom I was studying for engineering entrance exam had suggested me to choose this course. They said I will have more scope in future for jobs. Thr ratio of student:teacher was 60:1. The higest qualification of faculty here was Masters degree. Few of them had only Bachelor degree only. Few faculty were extremely good and few of them were not so good with their teaching skill. So in few subjects students had to struggle a lot in understanding. Good faculty also gave private tuition. So, those students who faced difficulty took tuitions from them. Exams were conducted timely. No delays were there. It was easy to pass if one have paid attention in the class and have done some self study sincerely.

Fee here is not so high. Fee is minimal. Approximately 4lac.There is no scholarship program given from college but one avail of the scholarship benefits from their state government as per their caste reservation, if provided. The saddening thing about this college is that it does provide placement. They may create fake scenarios of placement like fake company coming , taking interviews,hiring students only on paper .And then the company vanishes.But students get job as per their caliber outside the college by giving interviews in different companies. Students move to banglore in search of job.

College life is here awesome and amazing, student chill and relax. Students participate in many extra curricular activities as per their interest. Annually cultural fest in organized. This fest is completely organized by third year of the college. Programs are organized like singing, dancing, acting, poetry reciting, skits and ramp walks etc. If budget allows famous personality is called. Well maintained library is there. Books, journal and newspaper are available. Basic amenities are available in the class like tables desks, white board, fans and lights. Sports weeks is also celebrated in the college every year where students enthusiastically participate in sport activity. Sometimes sports equipments are also provided. Tech fests are also organized where group students showcase their projects. NEN is one of such program in which students participates and presents their entrepreniual skills.

Hostel facility is given by the college. College Hostels are mandatory for girls. No girls can take rented room. There are 2 Buildings for girls and only one warden is there. 3 hostels are their for boys. Boys can also stay in rented rooms. 4 times a day meal is provided. The quality of meals are not so upto the mark. Sometimes hygiene is also not maintained. Food is given on time. Hostels and rented rooms are easily available and are affordable. Girls hostels are in college premises and boys hostels are in front of college.

I got into this college through WBJEE West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam. My rank was not so good. So I got into this college through counselling as per my rank. My friends also got admission into this college through donation that is direct admission. If anyone wish to get direct admission without giving any exam they can easily get into this college. Admission process is not so strict here.The minimum marks required to get admission in Btech is 45% marks in PCM. And overall marks should be 55% and above. One can get the admission form from the college itself. Overall admission process is sophisticated.Staffs are co-operative and helpful. They help you in filling the form and other admission process. For me admission process was good and easy. I didn't face any trouble and overall experience was good.
