Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have enroll myself in this course because this course gives exposure to both electronics as well as computer science domains. It is very much beneficial as it allows switching between different career options as per person. The ECM students are allowed to sit for placement of both electronics as well as software based companies. The faculty student ratio is 1: 70 on an average. The faculties are well qualified and maximum of them hold a PhD degree from top recognised colleges. There are frequent examinations in the VIT University it's in the form of cat and fat cat stands for continuous assessment test and fat stands for the final assessment test to cats are conducted in one semester and one fat the weightage of cat is around 40% and the weightage of fat is around 60%.

Highest placement from ECM dept - 75 Lakhs Average package - 9.5 Lakh ECM Average package - 8.5 Lakh ( Including all BTech Cource)

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is VIT depends on the category system during the admission process. Students pay here in the range of 16 lakh - 26 lakh. Depending upond there category. The ROI is good if you get admission into circuital branches in Category 1 and Category 2.

Campus Life

3.5

Annual tech first of VIT Chennai - techno VIT Annual cultural fest of VIT Chennai - Vibrance The central library is equipped of the latest ebooks and other books which are both academic related and non academic related. There is a lack in the sports facilities of VIT Chennai. Most of the premium sport facilities are paid. There are more than 100 clubs, societies, special teams in VIT of different domains covering both academic and non academic regions.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facility is good as compared to other colleges. But, it can't be compared with the food of home. Veg, Non-veg, special mess is available and students can opt for them. Apart from this prepaid credit based Food Park system is also introduced this year in VIT Chennai, the replica of the VIT Vellore Food Park Mess.

Admission

We have to give the VIT triple exam for enrolling in VIT Campuses across India. There are four major campuses of VIT,Vellore Chennai Amravati and Bhopal. There is also a campus in Bangalore which is set up for international programs. The VIT Tripoli exam is conducted every year and the applications open near December end. Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well designed and covered both fundamental and advanced concepts. We choose elective papers each sem one paper from third sem. That selection of elective papers made us to do case study of real world exposure and competency. The curriculum prepared us for the reasonable real world applications. Also workshops and internships bridged the gap between industry expectations and academics. The teaching methods are really supportive and knowledgeable. On the whole the curriculum was strong and but needs to be imapctful.
