Likes
- Attendance is not a must. They say 75℅ is necessary but it's manageable.
- As maximum students are from tribal category, they are down to earth.
- Affordable for ever one to pursue any regular or vocational course.
Dislikes
- Faculty enhancement is needed. Some proffesors are not well enough
- Management of the college is very worst. For any matter, they just delay it.
- Infrastructure is also not good. Very school like feeling
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because of family pressure. I wanted to go for English hons.but because of more career opportunities in B. Com, my family persuaded me to do the same. Approx 200 students are assigned in one section with 2-3 classes running 6 days A week. Majority of the faculty members are good enough with little scope of improvement. If I mention about the exams, Ranchi women's college has lost its autonomous status and now the exams are being arranged by Ranchi University.
Placement Experience
From last year, one is eligible for placements. But the placements are not so good and in fact majority of the students don't sit on placements exams as regular course syudents don't go for placements in general. Approx 10 percent students are only placed. Highest package was from a vocational course of around 2.6 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is very minimal. Being under government control, the semester fees is only 1750 which is paid on Chancellor Portal's website. Moreover, exam fees is charged every semester rupees 600. Students belonging to reservation category, get scholarship of e kalyan from government. College doesn't provide any scholarship to anyone.
Campus Life
No such campus enjoyment is here. Old buildings and dirty walls with a primary school like playground along with uniform like government schools. Classes are large and spacious but no other facilities they provide. Library is good with nice range of books. Sports activities are also organised but very few in numbers. No clubs and all.
Admission
For taking admission here, one has to fill the form from Chacellor Portal by paying 500 rupees fees. Forms are out around the month of june and july. Anyone having more than 50 percent in 10+2 is eligible for admission. Selection is done by 3 lists published by them on their website based on marks in 12th but the reality is majority of the good candidates dont take admission and if one wait for the 3rd list, anyone can get admission here.
Interview Experience
No such things are done here. If wanted, one can get direct admission by filling the form and having a bit patience to wait for the last list. Just pay 1750 semester fees and you can get easy admission.
