Faculty is not competitive at all, technically they lack in many things

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose course as I was interested in E and TC field. The infrastructure of college is good. However Faculty was not up to mark. It was a Pune University exam so , difficulty level is high and marking system is quite tough.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

You can get multiple scolarship if you are under SC, ST, OBC or EWS categoary. You get campus jobs in IT and mechanical companies provided you have good percetange and no Year Down and any current down subjects.

Campus Life

Annual fests - Tech as well as culctural Fests do happen regularaly. Apart from that as it is in Pune so you can enjoy other cultural activities like Ganesha festival in Pune. Also nature is amazing and trecking can be done on nearby hiils like Lonavala, Lohgad. Most of the sports are available at campus

Admission

12 th, CET exam need to be given, You can find fees on DY Patil College Platform. The Admission happens through a centralised process of the state. You can also get admission through donation quota. Reservation is aslo available for SC, ST, OBC, EWS category

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. About our college

I choose this college becoz I got admission in computer engineering under government scholarship due to good CET percentile . As I got this college in first list instead of taking any risk I confirmed the admission. I applied different colleges but was offered under private quota where fees was way higher than this . The colleges like VIT, MIT and other highly rated colleges have good practical syllabus for students where students are trained well. The sports teams is not much supported in our college but other colleges do support.
