Remarks

The campus is awesome. It's so beautiful. Every student likes to have some time pass at the campus, not in the class. The academic and extracurricular activities are also good.

Entrance Preview

Usually our college ,Govt Arts & Science College Calicut is simply called as 'Arts College'.Its where I got different experiences. Its under the University of Calicut. Admission procedure is through the centralised allotment system according to marks scored in higer secondary level .So no entrance exams. Also there is a kind of small interview . Arts college was famous in the University. So I made it my first option & I got it. I've taken Physics, it's the subject my total interest belongs to. I want to study it as deep as I can. The technological advancement is through Science, mainly Physics.Hence i choose Physics.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

For me it's a good course. I'm happy with it. It also focuses on practical learning. Many of the proofs the theorems are through experiments, and we ,the students are able to do that here.

Internships Opportunities

In my knowledge my college doesn't provide internship, but it give lots of scholarships for students. Students uses scholarships for their educational needs.

Placement Experience

2

Its for post graduate sudents in my college and most are under graduate students. So the placement is less. Many bright students passes with high marks but no placements.

College Events

4.5

Many of the programs are conducted by the college students union, which had selected by the students itself. Many intellectual and entertaining programs are conducted every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's a Govt. institution, so the fee is affordable to all, also there is reduction for the poors. For me it was 4500 rs and 500 in each semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many scholarships are available for top students according to their performance. I avail the e- grants , which means the reduction in exam fee. They won't help for getting loans.

Campus Life

2.5

The college is also famous for it's extracurricular activities . The National Service Scheme has a unit here , and they take part in many social matters. The college students even made a home for the homeless Student by collection.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The fully facilitised hostel rooms are shared by three students.

Alumni/Alumna

Many prominent alumni is present and they help all departments for the needs of the present students and it is a strong network and it's working nicely.

Exam Structure

No. It's not making me tired, but not at chilling level too. Standard exams are conducted.

Faculty

3.5

Course Curriculum Overview:

My favourite subject is biology. I have applied for zoology course but unfortunately there is no seats available at that time, so I chose Botany which is also my favourite. The curriculum is perfect and prepares for real world. More practical sessions are needed. Every 6 months there will be semester exam. Which is not that much tough.
