Remarks

The college is very strict. No sports during free time! No round neck shirts! They still believe T-shirts are not our culture! They collect fine for every single mistake which isn't a mistake at all! The bus travel costs around 22k per annum . The buses are not up to the standard! The college is really outdated!

Entrance Preview

I have qualified EAMCET with a rank of around 14000! And through web options I chose this college! The college is really excellent in terms of placements. That's what made me choose CVR. There was no interview for admission! For my rank I couldn't get computer science . So I opted my next best electrical engineering!

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course is average in both structure and teaching! Since the college is autonomous, the syllabus is set as per convenience! The faculty here are very well qualified but not all qualified are good teachers! The faculty in CVR lack teaching skills and communication skills.! But few of them are excellent.! How ever there are only a few who teach in practical application point of view! There are few electives which we can choose from core as well as other departments: Like HVDC JAVA Electrical machine design Computer methods in power systems Advanced control systems etc!

Internships Opportunities

No. No internships provided by college for my department as per date! But , the management promised that they would be allowing students for internships from next year!

Placement Experience

5

The college is well known for its attractive placement records! Every year, around 85% of students get placed . Companies like intel, hp, TCS , CTS , Voltas , AMD , amazon dev etc visited the college. The highest package being 14Lakh per annum, and the average is about 3-4 lakh per annum!

College Events

1

The college doesn't encourage these activities at all. The annual days are routine! The sports fest is somewhat good with 1.7 lakh overall prize money this year. There is no football ground in the college.! But a very well maintained cricket turf wicket excites the students!

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee issue is one of the major controversies in the college! The fee was around 67k and it is raised to 95k for new admissions and existing students had to pay around 6k per year as difference amount! This fee hike resulted in hatred towards college management! No, the college is not worth the fee.!

Fees and Financial Aid

No. The college just provides a fee list to submit at bank to get loan. I personally took education loan, so such help from college!

Campus Life

2.5

As I said, the college doesn't encourage extra activities.! A few a conducted like flash mobs etc but of very low standard

Hostel Facilities

3

The college hostel costed around 40k per year. I didn't live in the hostel but heard that the rooms are shared with 5-6 people! The food is decent enough!

Alumni/Alumna

No! Nothing as such! By the way, the movie ghazi is directed by our alumni!

Exam Structure

The exams are classified as mid exams and end semester exams. So students will have exams after 45 days lo course start.! But at the end of semester, lab exams, mid exams and end semester exams are in tandom. So it's not that chill at the end of semester!

Faculty

2.5

As I already mentioned, not all qualified are good teachers.! The practical way of teaching expired in CVR long long ago.! Though there are one or two faculty who are excellent, the overall standard of teaching is low! The college completed its 16 years. More than 50% of faculty worked here for more than 10 years. Yes, the faculty are experienced but outdated!

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
