Likes

The faculty, they try their best to make us understand
Library, all kinds of books are available here
Classroom, the classroom is quite large and all the students can listen to teacher nicely

Dislikes

Uniform. I didn't like the colour of the uniform
Food, the food you have to accomodate but it's really oily and the lunch food is not good
Campus, the campus is really small with no ground

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I felt like choosing it . Simple as that. Kidding,This course is blooming slowly currently in India and world wide and also had some interest in chemistry and biology so I thought this will be fine. Faculty are really good,they try their best to make us understand. Most of the faculty have masters degree in their respective subject and some are pursuing PHDs. There are 2 semester exams which are conducted by college and end semester is conducted by Sikkim University.

Class Size: 700Course Fees: INR 156000 per year

Placement Experience

Maintain a good cgpa through out your college years and be confident during interview in the college campus. Some of our seniors have even got jobs as a pharmacist in govt hospitals. And some seniors got into top pharmaceutical industries.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly the course fees rises to few thousands but it's quite less compared to other colleges. I have no Idea about scholarships and all but some of our seniors have gotten scholarship. Hope it helps you

Campus Life

They say time spent With friends is never wasted. That's exactly what happens in campus too, the lectures will be little bit harder to go through coz the course is not easy, you have to study consistently and enjoy at the same time. Karate club is there,many of my friends and seniors have represented our college in competitions

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is pretty good compared to it's fees. The food is not bad and not good either. it's average i would say. Renting in Sikkim is pretty costly. Hostel is compulsory in our college that's why fees is low

Admission

You need to have above 60% marks in maths/ Biology and chemistry. You can find the application form in the official website or just visit the college and they will inform you. I dont really know about reservation benefits as I'm general but you can ask directly after visiting the college

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester students eligible for sitting in placement drive. companies visited like alkem, cipla zydus, zuventus, alembic etc. highest salary is 2.5 lakh per annum and lowest in 2 lakh per annum. 85% students get placed in placement drives remaining students opt for higher studies and family business. my plans after getting degree is to get the experience the field in retail sector. and do my own business . not only I will depend on one business I will generate multiple source of income form my business strategy and communication skills.

The area which influenced me to choose this course was my passion for medical science. The college gives you a hands on experience for the industry and hospitals. The teaching method is just the old fashion and the exam are too frequent leaving students burnt out

The placement of our college is the best in sikkim I would say because not only a high CGPA graduate can get a good salary job but also the low CGPA graduate holds a great chance to secure jobs.. I heard from many senior students and teachers that you are provided job based on your skills

Placement Experience:

Students will be eligible for placement during their final semester. Companies like cipla, zydus, goldencross, alkem etc will visit the college. Initial salary range can be from 36000-15000 per month, which is considered as training fees to the students for initial time with gradual increment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B pharmacy is a professional course and if influenced me to choose this course This course prepares you for real world application starting from communication to discipline every thing is taught in this course one becomes very disciplined and dedicated to this course once they opt for it The improvement required is to give proper gaps between sessional and semister examination as it puts too much stress on student and the faculty at the ending rushes and completes the syllabus in a hurry without proper explaination and just gives ppts at the end and sometimes doesnt even complete the syllabus before semister exams . So i think this thing needs to be inproved Sessional examinations are not too hard but semister examinations are mild to hard

Placement Experience:

After seventh semester, students are eligible for placements. There are multiple companies such as Cipla, Alkem laboratories limited, etc. Atleast 70% of students get placements. I would like to get a placement in Alkem laboratories, and look forward in the best salary to work.

I love my College

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because of my father's Business & I want to do job in pharma company. 60% Boys & 40% girls. Teaching with good way & qualifications are also good. In one semester(6 months) there are two internal Exam & one semester exam & 50% number is needed in each & every subject to pass.

My Experience in HPI

For admission 60% marks in class 12 is required to be obtained. Admission process is not at all hectic and it's easy and convenient. No exams are conducted for admission. Admission are done on merit basis. I didn't get a rejectioj from any other colleges. I particularly applied for this institute as it is one of the oldest and best college in Sikkim.
