Course Curriculum Overview
Passion for the subject influenced me to choose this course. The current faculty to student ratio is about 1:5. The faculty of the department is highly qualified. Superior and innovative modes of teaching were used to guide and educate the class. Most professors genuinely cared about the subject and passionate in teaching which were quite noticeable with the preparations. Term exams were more often than not during the generally expected period. The exams were fairly set and with good preparations, average to good marks can be scored.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no Scholarships or financial assistance provided by the college. However, one can apply for the available state and other scholarships. The fee structure was affordable compared to other colleges and universities offering similar course. It ranges from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 20,000 per year. However, there has been an instance where the imposed fee structure was modified mid-course which caused issue for several students.
Campus Life
The college is provided with the basic amenities and infrastucture that is expected of them. However, improvements can be made considering the acceptance of the volume of students per semester. Social life and clubs, however, are not encouraged by the faculty. They seem to focus a bit too much on the academics.
Admission
Eligibility of this course was as general as required by every other college. the eligibility was not strict, however, accepted students were based on the ranking on the merit list. The merit list is a combination of UG granduation results combined with HS result of the chosen subject for Hons. The application form, fees and application dates details can be found on the offcial website of the college. Reservation of seats are based on caste status. Details on the same can be found on the official website of the college. Prompt and timely updates on admission process would be appreciated. Sometimes updates are provided with deadlines on the same day or day before which proves to be hectic.
