Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because this university was the alma mater of my father and grand father. It has a good faculty to student ratio with highly qualified faculty. It is relatively easy for a regular student to just "pass" in the term exams but it is difficult to score good or be a top scorer.
Placement Experience
Students from their 5th semester and onwards are eligible to sit for placements and they can also apply for internships and get offer letters after their internship The average placement was around 8LPA with the highest around 30LPA Around 70-80% of students who are eligible to sit for their placements are presented with an offer. I'll opt for off campus placements as students from our college have better off campus placements with the highest being around 1.20 Crore
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees we have to submit for our first year is 20,815 which includes the hostel fees(but not the dining charge which is 1400( for the first year and it follows a similar pricing each year. In terms of affordability this college is unmatched as it provides quality education for a cheap price
Campus Life
The college conducts an annual fest around March called "zarf". It offers a diverse collection of books related to engineering and as this college comes under a central university, we are also given access to Maulana Azad Library which is Asia's biggest library. The campus has over 20 clubs ranging from everything to debate, drama and all the basic sports and more. There are many student groups run by the students like the University Debate and Literary Society and Google Developer Student Code.
Hostel Facilities
B-Tech students of the first year are usually alloted annexes which are essentially mini-rooms which have 3 or 4 students in it a student can also be allotted a large annexe which is essentially like a dormitory. The meal quality is relatively fine for the dining price and has a somewhat diverse menu In order to register for the hostel you need to opt for it in the application form and complete the formalities once the admission is complete
Admission
To be eligible to take admission into the course you must have the subjects physics, chemistry and math in your 12th with an aggregate of 50% in the boards You can find the application form at amucontrollerofexaminations and the application fees is around 700. It would be more convenient if the admission process was done through JEE
