- Admission process is very easy and they provide all facilities.
- College provides wi-fi facilities, big library and large computer labs
- College have a decent study environment and discipline
Dislikes
- The teaching style of teachers is inappropriate because they only focus on written notes, didn't conduct any practicals.
- Girls to boys ratio is around 3:7. They didn't conduct any sports activities the the campus.
- Faculty force students to maintain 100% attendance and come college daily.
Course Curriculum Overview
I love programming and coding that's why i choose Computer science. I would suggest college needs to focus on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge. External exams held every 4-5 months.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm paying RS 80,000 per year without any hostel facility. There is no registration fees, we have to pay tution fees of RS 80,000 (may vary), around RS 7,000 for transport. Some of my friends are paying fees around RS 60,000 - RS 90,000 because of their negotiations with the admission councilor. Only those students got scholarships who are admitted by appearing in competitive exams like JEE. OBC students have higher chance of getting scholarship of RS 50,000.
Campus Life
1. College doesn't conduct any fest or events except Fresher's party. 2. Almost all books and journals are available in library. 3. College doesn't conduct any sports and extracurricular activities. They just focus on attendance and studies. Overall experience of campus life is average.
Admission
1. I applied on different colleges like RKGIT and KIET but their course fees is around 1.25 lac which i feel very expensive that's why i choose RD Engg. College because it offers the same course in 80,000. 2. This college is also very close to my home (around 5 km). 3. I got rejected by KIET because of high cut-off. 4. Admission process in this college is very simple. You can meet with the admission counselor and get direct admission, on the other hand you can qualify for admission on the basis of JEE cut-off.
Faculty
Student and faculty relationship is good. They support students and very approachable. i personally like Mr Sohail Sir who teaches Electronics in first year because he is very supportive and kind. I don't like Mr Hemant sir who always forces students for 100% attendance. College conducts performance test on every monday and sessionals for every 1-2 months. But mosly students does not take them seriously and fails to clear the exam.
Night Life
1. Hostel has a dedicated small gym. Apart from this there are garden areas and roads where you can chill and relax. 2. campus entry timing is 8:00am and closing time is 8:00pm. No one can go outside after 8pm. 3. There are some small restaurants outside the campus where guys can chill out.
