Course Curriculum Overview
for a career further in life, and because my passion lies in this subject, i have chosen to do a bachelor's in History. the faculty is very well crafted, with professors with their own different specialisations and expertise. the faculty to student ratio is good too. as of now i haven't had any semester end exams, but they haven't been timely as of now.
Internships Opportunities
i do not have a lot of information about internships and related things. but from what i have seen till now, internship opportunities are definitely provided to students to avail. there is an instagram page (@cgtpc_bhu) that posts about placements and internships related updates.
Placement Experience
not much knowledge about the placement opportunities, but from whatever i've heard, i'd think it's pretty decent. of course the students with technical/ science related courses get way more opportunities than social sciences or art students, which is not the college's fault tho.
Fees and Financial Aid
the fees, both for the course and hostel+mess, is pretty reasonable. and scholarship opportunities, like national and state scholarships, are always shared with students, all by seniors and students advisor professors.
Campus Life
the infrastructure overall is pretty good. there are projectors in all classrooms and all necessary infrastructure. several fests, events, and ceremonies and competitions are frequently organised by various committees. students are often encouraged to join various present student clubs and their forms are always shared with us.
Hostel Facilities
currently staying at a PG hostel around 20 mins away from the campus. the fees is of course more than the one at the campus hostels, but regardless the environment here is pretty nice quiet. good for studying.
Admission
• the minimum eligibility to apply for specialisations offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences, like History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, etc., is 10+2 or equivalent with an aggregate of at least 50% marks. and then the entrance exam CUET conducted by NTA is required to be taken. • all the application related information is readily available on the official website of BHU (bhuonline.in) • there is reservation as per Gol Rules (27% OBC; 15% SC; 7.5% ST; 5% PC- Horizontal Reservation) • there are delays sometimes in updation, and lack of good communication, which i believe needs to be fixed.
