It may be bitter for some,sweet for others But i speak the truth.

In every semester there are 3 exams....With end sem and 2 quizes ...It was easy except some subjects....But the grading was based on relative grading...The faculty members are highly qualified ranging from phd to masters even some from stanford passout ... Faculty student ratio is about 1:9.

There are on campus internship opportunities ....The internships are also good ...Even the students who excelled it get there ppos also ....They can do it off campus as well....But the thing is that the roles that the students apply are related to mainly tech or finance which they prepare by themselves....

Placements are good in iitm ....All the top companies visit in iitm .... Everything ranging from finance,tech, consultant,quant,etc ...Visits the campus ... Companies like janestreet,davinci derivatives, Microsoft,google also comes

The fees are actually high even in iit ...Taking lakhs of rupees ij every semester..... However financial aids are provided....For below 1 lpa tuition fees are waived....For 1-5lpa 66% reduction in tuition fees....

Campus life is great whenever academics is considered or research or everything related to topics of study .... However a north indian boy feels unfriendly since almost everyone there are mainly south indians ....There are even trees everywhere....Lots of monkeys and even pythons ....Deers are there too...But Soke innovative ideas like IDDD in IITM or the research park which provides internship are best which makes it special from other iits .... That's why i chose iitm over iitb.

Hostel facility is ok ....Not much luxurious...there are no air conditioner ....As chennai being a warm city ....AC should be there ...Even in 1st and 2nd year we are provided with sharing rooms ...Thats make it worse ....There are personal space ....And also only the 1st year hostel is good ...Others are old and not good ..

I cleared jee advanced after jee mains ..to get admission in iit ...I got enrolled in mechanical in iitm for 2459 rank in jee advanced and 2150 in jee mains ....After then there was counselling and seats were alloted accordingly..

There was no interview for admission.... However there was jee mains to shortlist some students...After then we need to attempt jee advanced...Every time paper changes ...It consists of physics, Chemistry and maths .... However, nothing is said about pattern,marks or even no. of questions....I prepared through coaching centre and their materials..
