The classrooms are great the Lecture Hall complex is great. Seniors are very helpful as well.

Dislikes

College life and campus are not good. College still don't have a Auditorium.

Course Curriculum Overview

According to my JEE rank it was the best course I could have got it has quite good placement record also. Not sure about the faculty to students ratio but could be like 1/100. Professor are very well qualified, There will be 2 exams each semester and by regular studing a little you can pass easily

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are quite good in college. Lot of students are usually doing paid internship in their 6th semester. Students also do work in different projects. College do provides a good platform here.

Placement Experience

7th semester is when placements starts, Companies like Samsung, Nvidia, De shaw, Adobe visit to offer placements. This year 5 placements of 84lpa were made and average placement for circuital branches are 15lpa+ CSE has a average placement of 26lpa. Every branch has a 90%+ students placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is quite affordable, fee waiver is also available for ews students according to family income. I have availed PM scholarship as my father served in the Indian Defence Services, There are also other scholarships available which can be easily availed

Campus Life

Culfest is the Annual fest organised and Tech fest both are fine but don't compare them with top nits and iits. Library is good almost every book old or new are available. Classrooms are great literally you can flex them to others :). Sports is good but not all sports are equally prioritised. Clubs are really good you can improve really well.

Hostel Facilities

No facilities are provided in room except the basic ones, meal is ok not too good, Registration of hostel is easy and fast and hostel is very affordable compared to other colleges, Locality is not quite good it's better to be in hostel and even taking hostel is mandatory

Hostel Fee: INR 17000 per year

Admission

I got admission in NIT Jamshedpur by clearing JEE Mains examination. The admission process was smooth no big problems were there that I faced. Just need to be cautious during the councelling process and be sure about which college to choose

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
