Course Curriculum Overview
1. I choose this course because I have rigrous interest in field of Mechanical Engineering. 2. There are 33 faculties in department of Mechanical Engineering. There are about 120 students per batch. So ratio is abour 4 students per faculty. 3. The faculties are highly qualified. They have received thier PhD degrees from IIT's and foreign universities. The faculties use slides of powerpoint to teach. 4. There are 2 exams per semester. One mid term and one end term. The difficulty level is moderate.
Internships Opportunities
1. Companies that offered internships are JINDAL STEELS, BAJAJ, BPCL, VOLVO, RELIANCE INDUSTRIES, etc. The stipend varies from 20000 INR to 50000 INR. Mostly roles are technical based. 2. There are compulsory projects for students in 7th semester. The financial help for projects is provided by college. Projects are done under the guidance of faculty member.
Placement Experience
1. Students are eleigible for placements from 7th sem onwards. 2. Companies visited are BPCL, HPCL, GAIL, MARUTI SUZUKI, BAJAJ, VOLVO, JINDAL STEELS, VEDANTA, etc. About 120+ offers were made. 3.The highest package is 25 LPA. The average package is 12.1 LPA. The job profile is Graduate Engineer Trainee. 4. About 90% sttudents were placed. 5. I want to sit for placements and do job after getting my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
1. The fee is 150000 INR per year. The lump-sum cost comes around around 10 lakh INR for a student. 2. There are many scholarhsip available. DAAD scholarship to study in Germany. Many categories based scholarhships are also available. I get 2/3 remission in fee due to my income between 1 to 5 lakh INR. There is training and placement cell for jobs and placements.
Campus Life
1. The annual fest is 'BLITZSCHLAG' held in February every year. The tech fest is 'SPHINX' held in October. 2. 1000+ books and jounals are available in library. There is large number of e-books and e-journals are also available. 3. There is 1 blackboard, 2 white board, 2 projectors, about 120+ chairs in classroom. 4. There are 2 football ground, 2 cricket ground, 4 volleyball courts, 4 basketball courts, 1 gym, 1 chess room, 2 tennis courts, 1 table tennis room, etc. 5. There are 23 cultural clubs and 19 technical clubs in college.
Hostel Facilities
1. 1 bed, 1 chair, 1 almirah, 4 stone almirahs, 2 tubelight, 3 electric switch are provided in room. 2. The meal quality is moderate to good. We have a weekly schedule for meals in mess. 3. The registration for hostels starts at the beginning of semester. The hostel fee for 1 sem is 32000 INR which is 64000 INR per year. 4. There are many PG's and rooms available in Malaviya Nagar and Satkaar Market localilty.
Admission
1. The student should complete class 12th with PCM with an aggregate marks 75%. 2. The application form is available on NTA website. The fee of JEE exam is 800 for general students. The application starts 1 month prior before exam. 3. I availed GEN-EWS reservation. 4. The procedure for admission and counselling should be smooth.
