I chose MNIT Jaipur for my M. Tech in embedded systems is primarily because of its reputation as an Institute of national importance. I had also applied to other top NITs, but could not secure a seat due to the high gate cutoff. The admission process is through the CCMT portal based on gate scores. Eligible gate papers (CS, ECE). I applied to a few NITs and state colleges but chose MNIT Jaipur because it has better infrastructure, faculty, and placements compared to others. I got admission offers from MNIT Jaipur and one or two other NITs, but MNIT felt more promising for electrical engineering. I faced rejection from some colleges due to lower JEE Main rank. MNIT’s admission is mainly through JEE Main, which is the most preferred exam for most students here. The cutoff for electrical engineering is quite high, around 15000-25000 rank, depending on category. The admission process was straight forward register on JoSAA, choose preferences, and seat allotment happens based on rank. Overall, it was smooth and transparent. This process gets based not jee mains exam. Bu getting marks gets college counseling through JOSSA. It was taken 7 rounds. In every round have 3 options,1st is freeze,2. Slide,3. Floating. after getting through the admission of JOSSA you will get the college. And after college is allocated,u get through the admission process in college. and after u will pay a fee.
