Remarks

Admission process was simple and common for all mbbs and bds admissions. I gave Neet exam which everyone who wants a medical seat have to give. Then you take part in counselling. Sharda university take part in UP state counselling, so you need to take part in that counselling. You need to register online on upneet counselling website, then deposit the security amount then take part in the counselling. Then you need to do choice filling. I chose sharda school of dental sciences. If your score match their cut off you will be allotted a seat. Then after getting allotted you need to report on their centre, over there other formalities would proceed.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I was interested in studying medicine, i couldnt get any seat for mbbs so bds was my backup plan but now i really enjoy studying this course too. Well this college have a good no. of faculty. Multiple teachers for a single subject which makes it good as well as bad. Good since you get to learn from so many people, even if you dont like any one of them you have the other but at the same time bad because then you can't follow a single teacher, different teacher have different rules, way of teaching so sometimes it gets confusing. Teachers are well qualified and teaching methods are also fine. We have internal assessment exam in every 3 months, then Pre -profs (third internal) and then proffesionals exam (which are the final ones) after 1 month of pre-profs. Exams are easy to pass if you study well, in my batch 93 passed out of 100 so thats a good passing ratio i guess.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

We get internship inside our college itself. It is in our course itself. Our course duration is 5 years, 4+1 ; which includes 1 year of internship which is mandatory. There are campus placements from some companies aur business chains like clove dental etc but in bds we have less job opportinities that is why very less companies. Bds is about setting up our own practise because of which campus placements and no. of companies cant be the criteria for a dental college. We get stipened of around 3k per month as of i ve heard from my seniors. I don't know exactly because i am still in my initial years.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure seems to be fine and not overpriced since all the private dental colleges in up have similar fees structure. I dont see any opportunity of scholarships. Colleges don't give any scholarships for bds/mbbs becauss these courses come under Neet.

Campus Life

3.5

Sharda university is good for campus life. Various events are organised by different schools of the university. However school of dental sciences organise less of these but you can take part in other school's events too. There are fests for entire university too which include celebrity, dj night, snacks ,etc. Usually it occurs in Nov-Jan. We have a stationary inside the campus itself which provide us with all the manuals, instruments and other stuff. There are various clubs for everyone in the university. Dance, music, art, sports and everything. All these clubs and societies are of entire university and not of school of dental sciences.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Based on the findings of the study, the common factores that influence me were external influences, affordability, practicality, personal preference, environemnt , facilities, interest.as it is a dental college so the main focus was opd patients which is quite good in this college. Every year there is slight variation when it comes to exams. They are not as difficult as we think.if we have studied well then exams are good to go. A well designed curriculum should equip the students with both foundational knowledge and practical skills and this college has the same. From academic content to problem solving everything is really nice

Choosing a career is one of the most important decision of life, and for me, opting for BTS was a decision drive by a deep interest in healthcare From a young age, I was always curious about the signs of the human body. Dentistry is a unique blend of medicine, artistry, and the patient care As I learn about the field, I discovered the dentistry is not only treating teeth, but also about improving a person's self-esteem, comfort, and overall health Improvements in the course curriculum - early exposure to clinical practice -Enhance focus on soft skill and patient communication -Emphasis on time management, stress management management

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being a neet aspirant only i decided i want to go for BDS and not MBBS for BDS is a more specialized course focusing only on the oral cavity and care. There are in total 9 branches under BDS and each branch in itself has huge scope in outer world. We start dealing with real patients from third year only so we have real experience of everything and by the time internship completes, we have enough knowledge to open a clinic of our own. And best part, BHU provides 50% internal qouta for its students so we've a better chance of getting a good pg seat from such a prestigious institution.
