Likes

Social clubs and library are good places to indulge in apart from education.
Security in the university is well appreciated.
Canteen has good food , which is affordable as well.

Dislikes

Education facilities are not much concerned, I don't feel I've learnt that far.
Hostel messes are not cooperative. Mess food is shit.
Infrastructure is quite poor, cleanliness is also sleek.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty is more theoretical rather than being practical. Course curriculum covers everything, but they don't teach everything. It's a different field which needs a little bit more education improvement.

Class Size: 42Course Fees: INR 34500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees. I feel is bit expensive according to infrastructure provided and it's a government college. There are toppers scholarship and few others for other castes. But, I hardly got prize till yet being truthful.

Campus Life

Campus crowd is 80% from Haryana. Social life is good, but being in Sonipat is more about Desi food and connecting to roots. Rhythm, technova, archnova are few fests being organised. Library is a good one. Architecture classes are cleaned once in a month maybe. Social groups are the best part of university. Theatre clubs at peak.

Admission

Application process was according to the HSTES site, common JEE MAINS, NATA paper. Everything was followed via email and documents were shared via email as well. The faculty was generous to answer every questions regarding admission. I suggest online portals can be more flexible with automatic queries that regards less attention to ask.

Reality Of DCRUST

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to decide this course as it is a profit course with some creative thinking going on. The curriculum of the college does not prepare at all for the real world applications or further academic pursuits. The curriculum doesn't include what is latest in technology. For example we have few elective subject which we are not allowed to choose as the college does not have the faculty for those subjects and neither do they try to get the faculty for these subjects and say that you cannot choose this subject. The areas of improvement in course curriculum are a lot. The students teach better than teachers via their presentations. The teacher just sits idol in classes and give students a topic to give presentation and teach other kids. The exams are conducted semester wise which are not at all difficult. One just needs to go through previous year papers and he will pass with good marks. The internal marks are given by teachers on the basis of how much a teacher likes a student. the work you do does not matter at all for them.

On 23rd January, students of School of Architecture and Planning (SoAP) conducted their third SoAP day wherein the students of all three years (2014-2016 batch) exhibited their work. The event was inaugurated by our Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. D.K. Jha Sir. Deans, faculty members and students from all the Schools of the University attended the event. A soap carving competition was also organized for the students where in Dheeraj and Ishan of 2nd Year won the first and second prize respectively. The event was a great success and everyone appreciated and encouraged the students for their commendable work.
