Even GNIT is autonomous, it is affiliated to JNTUH. It follows the course crriuculum of JNTUH. I have chosen Cyber Security course under the main field Computer Science. There are good number of faculty here, but very few of them are really good at teaching skills. The faculty who are experienced are good at teaching. But there are very few faculty with experince. Qualifying in term exams is quiet easy than JNTUH colleges.

They provide very few internship opportunities. And if we crack any intersips, we have to spend atleast 2-3 days to take permissions from all the people like HOD, principal, placement director etc. They remove from the placements if we get an off casmpus instership which may be full time based on the candidate performance after the completion of intership duration.

Campus placements are very bad. Placement department have no concern on individuals. The only thing they want is to show case that they provide excellent job oppotunites. But in reality, they dont care about the future of students , they push the students in every possible company even though it is not a good placement because they only want to increase the number of students placed rather than how and where they are placed. And the another worst thing is they debar the students from placements for even very small reasons.

I think the fee structure is high for the quality we get here. It may be in terms of campus placements, Financial Assistance and campus feel. Due to recession and the University clashes, this year there are very few campues visits by the companies.

We should expect nothing at GNIT, regarding fests and events. Rarely an event is conducted, and that too for the name sake. GNIT has very good library. It is a big plus point to the college. There is a very good environment at library and the availablilty og books is apreciable. There are only 1 or 2 clubs of students to conduct any fests. But they dont usually get permissions to conduct them.

Admission is through Eamcet. The cutoff rank at the time of me joining was around 16,000 TS Eamcet rank. Now it may increase as the college's reputation has been dropped due to the University clashes. Any student who has finished 12th is Eligible for the course. The another way of getting into GNIT is through management seat. One can improve his/her admission process by clearly noting the list of all the colleges in Hyderabad in topwise order in order to get the best college for his/her rank in the Eamcet councelling.
