Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course out of my interest in the field. The number of faculty in our college is 8 and no. Of students is 200 .•. faculty: students ratio is 1:25 Some professors in our college are PHD Holders and some have qualified the M.Ed. degree. The teaching methods is very effective and the best part is, they taught in bi-lingual approach (both Hindi and English) which helps in overcoming the language barrier. We have to give semester exams (in every 6 months) even our college takes regular class tests (monthly) and model exams regularly.. The level of exam is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

4

We have to go for an Un-paid training program for 4 months In which we have to go in some school (government schools) and take classes Which helps us to understand the student-dealing and atmosphere of the classroom. Here we are allowed to take the class of middle schools (from classes 1st-5th) and higher secondary schools (from class 6th-8th).

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees for our course is 30,970. And we have to pay 5000 extra for the stationary, uniform and miscellaneous expenses. Various scholarships are also available And our college also provides the facilities of paying the fees in installments. We didn't get any on-the-job oppertunity in our course. But we have to go for an un-paid training program of 4 months in any school. To see and learn the teaching methods and actions.

Campus Life

4.5

The infrastructure is quite good We have a big auditorium An indoor badminton court A big play ground A library Reading room facilities Common rooms for boys and girls There are various competitions and events held in our college regularly.

Admission

The eligibility for my B.Ed. course is GRADUATION. After fulfilling the eligibility, we have to give a Pre-B.Ed entrance exam, which was of 100 mrks. The application fees for Pre-B.Ed. entrance exam was NIL(free). The colleges were allotted to us on the basis of these marks. The college allotment process was centralised and on merit basis. There was a seat-reservation system in the colleges(i.e. different no. Of seats were kept reserved for SC,ST,OBC,OS candidates). I think, the university should work on the college allotment process, decreasing the centralised admission process and give some flexibility to the colleges.

Remarks:

Every thing is comprised at small portion of land. Thus there are not enough to hostels to accommodate all students. This there is scope of building more infrastructure for NIT Raipur. Apart from this the canteen facility and sports ground need some attention as they our ground looks like a desert as there is no grass on it.
