Like liking away from home we often miss mom's food

Course Curriculum Overview

Due to my personal interest in civil engineering i opted for that. Faculty student ratio is almost 2 to 50 . Faculties are mostly PhD and research scholar and we are taken mid term 2 quizzes and end term exams in a semester

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies come here for offering internship opportunities like Google Microsoft and goldmensec amazon Flipkart and they offer high paying intern and research intern are also available so basically overall good opportunity

Placement Experience

There are lots of opportunities after being graduated from iits and world welcomes u with both arms open to hire u in any respective and interested field also in 4 th year students sit for placement and they get high paying jobs

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure is different for different categories depending upon annual family income of the respective students. For gen it's 8 lakhs for semester fees and hotel in addition to that. And based upon merit we r given scholarship from the clg

Campus Life

Campus life is awesome with lots of enjoyment and happiness moment and also 4 annual fest are there 1. Alcheringa 2 . Techniche 3. Spirit 4. Spardha 5. Udgam And also dj nights increase that enjoyment with team work also we get so much happiness

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are quite and decently maintained and also food and mess menu are revised by commitee and we r also part of that. And accomodation in hostel is necessary and also that is provided on the basis clg

Admission

You have to crack jee advanced examination. For that u have to clear first mains then adv and application are available on nta official site. Girls reservation and st sc are also available there. This procedure is perfect

Placement percentage is nearly about 75-80%. Usually students get placed in good PSUs, or in tech companies. Other students opt for further studies like mtech or mba. My plans is to mtech as I want to do better jobs than a btech graduate do

Placement Experience:

Normally from third semester student become eligible campus placements but most usually take placements in fourth semester or fifth semester The percentage of getting placements are about 60% The highest package per company usually was ?80,000 per month and the average is around 20,000 Per month My plan is to get a job of a construction firm for about one year so that I can collect good amount of experience and they will hire me because I am passout from this college because this is one of the most reputed college after one year or two year, I will try for government exams or some private companies like Gautam farm, et cetera

Placement Experience:

The students who are appearing for the 7th semester end term examination are eligible for the campus placement drive , eligibility varies as per the companies eligibility criteria, main factors are CGPA score of the particular student. There are many companies who visited the campus for placement drive but the main companies who visited for campus placement drive are : NRL( Numoligorh Refinery Limited) ,ONGC( oil natural gas corporation) etc , the highest package offered was 24 lpa by NRL and the offer was got by 8 students and the average package of our college is 7lpa approx

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester, one is eligible for Placements. This year(2024-25) 68 percent placement is done for B.Tech. Those who don't get placements either go for higher studies, UPSC, GATE, and some get job by referral from College Alumni.

An honest review for NIT silchar with detail analysis.

Placement Experience:

Placement of NIT silchar is pretty good. Average package is around 12 Lpa. Although after corona the placement dropped but still it is good. Many big tech companies visit during placement for full time and internship. Core companies also visits for different roles. During our placement season it happens generally after 7th semester. Generally criteria for sitting in any company varies based on cgpa and sometimes 10th and 12th marks depends on company to company generally it is 6 or 7 or 8 cgpa. Good it companies offer 20-30lpa and lowest offer was 6th lpa.

MY EXPERIENCE AS A FRESHER AT IITG

Placement Experience:

1. From the 6th semester students become eleigible for campus placements. 2. Big companies like McKinsey, Google, microsoft, adobe, amazon, flipkart, meesho, bcg, bain, tcs, have visited our campus this year and the offers made were around 164 during a span of 59 days. 3. Highest package was 2cr for an international offer 4. 50% 5. I wanna get a job, a high paying one.

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
