Remarks
Overall it is a decent college but here you need to find your way to excel. You have to fight to become something extraordinary. College management is decent taking care of the students demands.
Entrance Preview
I got admission through JEE Mains. I scored 150 marks and my board % was 88 but because of the normalisation my score reduced to 130 and my rank came out to be 55k. So for 55k this college was the best option as I had to go for CS
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is pretty vast and covers all the aspects of CS and is good for CS enthusiasts. You can get a lot of areas to work on but you need to choose one of your interest and also tge placements are good for CS stream. Companies like Amazon and many more visit the campus.
Internships Opportunities
Internship aren't provided by the college, only 2-3 companies come which only hire 20 candidates in total. So you need to find one on your own. Also it is compulsory to do one so you have to fight for it off campus.
Placement Experience
Placements are good to be honest. I would say if we rank on the basis of placements then it will come under top 10 in Delhi NCR. There are companies like Amazon, Deloitte any many more which come to hire at decent packages. There are companies coming for different profiles as well so if you are not into coding and technology you still have many options.
College Events
There are two major fests. The 1st is a two day techno- cultural fest called the Impressions are I would say it is tooo good. I miss it a lot. There are variety of artists and it happens in February. 2nd is pure technology fest called Cyber Srushti. It comprises of hackathon and all tech. stuff. Other than these 2 there are multiple events happening throughout the year. Like the JMUN, music events etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is a little expensive I would say beacuse when I joined the college it was approximately 1.30 lacs per annum (tuition fee) n 80k(hostel n mess fee) but now it is increased by 40%. So it's not that expensive compared to other private universities and is at par with the IIT fee structure. So I would say you can go for it
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are only offered to some students which come from Bhutan and there is as such no loan offered.
Campus Life
The gender ratio depends on stream to stream. But overall I can say the sex ratio is approximately 10:4. In my batch of 30 there were 11 girls. There were many cultural events happening over the year. Like JMUN n Youth parliament. Musical and theatre and sports events where you can participate. Also there events for some festivals like dandiya night, so overall a constant source of fun is there.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities for every student is bad but to be honest it's the best when I saw other college's hostel. Our hostel has neat n clean washrooms, AC Vents which are centrally controlled and the rooms are double sharing and are big enough for two. The mess food is also very hygienic but the taste isn't that good everyday. The seats are enough and no one is left behind.
Alumni/Alumna
In a college you learn more from your seniors than your professors. So the culture is pretty good between the juniors and seniors. The alumni interaction is also decent. Alumni keep visiting the college and aslo a regular interaction on fb groups.
Exam Structure
In a semester there are 3 exams. They are called T1,T2 n T3. So basically T1,T2 are mid sems, yes there are 2 mid sems each paper comprising of 20 marks and then T3 of 35 marks. So each subject is of total 100 marks. 75 are from these written exams and the rest 25 marks are internals. Basically the lecturer gives them on the basis of their mood.
Admission
First you need to fill out the form on their website to be eligible for counselling, which comes around April. Then when the results of mains are announced, the college calls you for the counselling session where you are called according to your rank to choose the college and stream in a preference manner. Then if you don't get your 1st preference, you are eligible for an upgrade.
Faculty
The faculty is a bunch of mixed experiences. Some of them are the best in their field and can provide you with the best of knowledge but yes some aren't that experienced and it is sometimes difficult to sync with them. But overall you'll have a great faculty over the 4 years and very helpful ones.
