Likes

Infrastructure is good. Environmental conditions are pretty well here.
All faculty members are supportive. All seniors are also supportive.
I liked all cultural and technical events organized by my college

Dislikes

I don't like many industry are near the campus which are harmful for us
I dislike that sometimes events are organized at the time of examination
I dislike the whether conditions of jamshedpur. You can easily get fever and cold here

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose nit jamshedpur because this college provides great placements. Last year's average package was around 15 lakh per annum. Faculties are supportive. We have two examination in one semester. Mid semester exam and end semester exams. Exams are quite difficult but if you are studying through day one you can get good cgpa.

Class Size: 115Course Fees: INR 210000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Starting of 3 rd year internship process will start. Many companies visits college. Offers very high paying jobs to the student. Like senior consultant junior consultant. Company secretary etc many other posts.

Placement Experience

After completing 6th semester. Students are eligible for placement by 7 th semester. Many companies visits nit jamshedpur like tcs, tata steel, etc. Last year placement percentage was 98 percent students got placed. My plan is preparing for CAT after completing degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

National Institute of technology jamshedpur is government college. Fees is not that much high but for a middle-class family fees is high. Per year tution fees is 62500 and including hostel fees and mess fees it will be around 105000 total cost of course is around 9 lakh.

Campus Life

Our annual fest is culfest. Culfest is organized in month of february and our tech fest is ojass. Which will be conducted in June I think. The classroom of nit jamshedpur is very attractive . We have a central Library.

Hostel Facilities

My hostel room is double seater. Washrooms are commen for all block members. Mess food is good but not great and tasty. It is etable. If we want a rented room so pg will be available in bistupur 5 kilometre away from college.

Hostel Fee: INR 64000 per year

Admission

If you want to take admission in nit jamshedpur Or other nit and iit's you have to clear jee mains exam with a decent rank And advanced for iit. Jee main is for admission in nit's. Yes!! If you are belonging to category. You get reservation,At low percentile you get a decent college. Nit jamshedpur is very good college . Great infrastructure and great placement!!.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
