The placement is very good in our college . The faculties are also very knowledgeable . A very good mixture of young and old proffesor .
The seniors are very supportive , They will guide you interms of placement , they will brief you about which club to join .

Dislikes

The worst thing about my college is that there is no gym.

Honestly speaking i choose this course because i am not getting CSE in this college and also the placement of this college is one of the major factor . faculty student ratio is good in this college suffcient amount of teachers are there honestly i don't know the exact faculty student ratio.The qualification of proffesors are very good there method of teching is also very good . Some of the faculties have done there masters from IITs .The exams are held in semester wise. Per semester there are 2 exams one is midsem and the other is endsem . To pass the exam it is sufficient to start studying just one week before the exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the fee structure i have strongly suggest you to kindly visit our official college website . the fee remission is there for st sc and gen ews students whose family income is less than 1 lakh per annum and whose family income lies in the range of 1 to 5 lakh per annum. scholarship is available for econnomicaly backward student . one such scholarship is medhaavi , for girls many scholarships are available.

Campus Life

Life at campus is not that great but yes u have different locations where you can gathered with yuor friend and enjoy like nescafe area. There are alot of clubs that is available there is a technical club named as PCON which is a club for coding, INNOREVA is there for IOT , we have a lot of clubs related to AUTOMOBILES, DRONES . Tech fest named as OJASS is conducted in the month of january and also the biggest fest of nit jamshedpur CULTFEST IS conducted in january. The availability of books is there in our library the infrastructure of library the wifi facilities is also there. Our classroom has centralised AC . Sports is very famous in our college the soprts equipment is available sports fest is also there named as URJA.

Admission

You are elegible to give this entrance exam when you are in class 12 and you have opted physics, chemistry ,maths as your subject. You will find the application form at the official website of nta. The resevation is there for ST-SC ,Obc, Gen Ews students.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
