Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as it was the general preference order of students. Faculty to student ratio is good enough. In my course, done teachers are terrible you have to read on your own. Exams were on time and quite easy to pass if you studied just a little sincerely. I would rate this course 9/10 and faculty 4/10.

7th semester. but one can sit for an internship in 3rd year around 200 companies visited and almost all got placed the location of this college serves as a plus point 90 percent of people get placed my plan after getting a degree is to get placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is quite simple. One can easily get fee remission from college and along with it can avail of any other scholarship like ffe, Jharkhand govt, and many. Fee hikes have been seen this year by 10 percent I guess. The cost to study is not high at all.. just notebooks and a4 sheets for assignments that's all.

Campus Life

The annual fest is conducted in Feburary and the technical fest is ojass conducted in January only. Books are easily available in libraries. The sports and other curricular activities are also paid attention. If you are good at sports do come here cause we search for participants during the Urja annual sports fest.

Admission

I had taken jee entrance exam. Qualification is 12th appearing. The application is available on the jee website. The admission process was smooth only, but during counseling one must make their choices wisely. In college they were helpful.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
