Course Curriculum Overview

Choosing Engineering and Computational Mechanics for the thrill of solving real-world problems through innovative solutions, utilizing versatile skills in simulation, and contributing to global advancements in diverse industries. Ration is about 1:18. All the faculties are Phd qualified and their teaching method is excellent. There are two exams in each semester - mid semester and end semester.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 153000 per year

Placement Experience

After the second semester you are eligible for the placement. There were lot of companies including Google, Microsoft, etc that visited our college. The percentage of placement in the year 2023 is 98.87%. My plan is to get a placement of above 30 lpa after graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees of the institute is about Rupees 153,000/- per year and the hike in fee is not every year. There is fee remission in the college which will you get on the based of your family annual income.

Campus Life

There is an annual fest called CULFEST and tech fest called OJASS which is conducted in February. There is a central library which has over 1lakh books. The classrooms are very advanced. There are lots of extra curricular activities on the campus. There are lots of social group, clubs.

Hostel Facilities

There are total 13 hostels in which 9 are boys hostel and 4 are girls hostel. In first year boys hostel you will get 2 seater room with two beds , two cupboard and a table and chair. The hostel fee is Rs. 66000/- per year. The mess food is ok. There is flat in the locality behind our campus.

Admission

You have to give an exam called Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) to go into IITs/NITs/IIITs. The application form and dates can be found on the official website of JEE Main. You will get category and gender reservation in JEE.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
