Like the seniors here too cooperative.Qualified Faculties.
The lecture hall complex is excellent have very good facilities with 120 students in a class

Infrastructure is not too good Need to improve in hostel facilities also

Facult of this college is very good some of them are in top 2% scientist.All faculties are PhD.There are two exams in a semster Mid-Semester and End-Semester examination.it is easy to clear.But for good marks you have to work hard

Internships Opportunities

Interntership are good here many companies like tata, Mahindra and various tech companies provide internship to students here. Students gets there internship in 5th Semester. students also get off campus internships here

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placement in 6th semester.Lots of comapnies including Tata,Delotiee, Atlasian,etc. Highest Pacakage is 83 lakhs and average package is about 15 lakhs. 27 lakhs in CSE department.Placement percentage is above 90 percent

Fees and Financial Aid

There no fees hike per year generally because it is government college and the fees is low then private colleges about 9 lakhs for 4 year of Btech. Government provide full fee waiver to student whose family income is less than 1 lakhs and 2/3 remission to whose family income is between 1-5 Lakhs.

Campus Life

Annual Fest is Culfest and it is held in March month of each year. Tech Fest is Ojass it is held in Feb-March. A lots of variety of books are available in library inculding non-academic also. Sports facilities are good here Sports fest named urja gets concluded in November month of the year. Many Type of clubs here run by students

Hostel Facilities

Room are good to survive not good as hotel but ok . mess food is eatable not tasty.mess menu is good contains different type of food including North and South cuisines.Hostel is affordable 34 thosand per semster

It requires JEE Mains exam to be cleared to get in NIT Jamshedpur the cutoff for this college Differs for different branches starts from 96 to 99.7.Reservation benefits are there. Fee waiver is also there

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
