Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because i wanted to get into an IIT. The student faculty ratio for our current batch of 500 students might be roughly 5:1. The faculty is very qualified and teaching method id also of good standards. The exams are held every two months and they are moderately tough to pass.
Internships Opportunities
I dont have much information about the internships at my college as of now but from what i have heard, my seniors have got placed in various companies but the opporunities are not as much as some of the other top IITs of the country.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from the 7th Semester and this year in the first ten days of the placement drive 210 offers were made, the highest package offered was 64lakhs and the mean package is of 19lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
fees structure is quite affordable considering it is a government instituition. As I'm only in the first year, there hasnt been any hike in fees and neither have i got any job on campus with stipend. I didnt get any scholarship and financial assisstance.
Campus Life
The annual fests conducted are Alma Fiesta, Wissenaire, E-Summit and Ashwamedha. Except Ashwamedha all other fests are conducted in the Spring semester in the months of janaury and early february. The library is very huge and has availed all books and journals. The classrooms are modern and Hi-tech. There is a Student Activity Centre which holds place for all sports, it has a cricket ground, football ground too. There are socio-cultural, science and tech clubs run in the campus by students.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms are of single occupancy. It has enough space for a single bed, study table, a balcony and an attached cupboard to accomodate all my belongings. The hostels are very modern and quite well maintained. The meal quality is more than satisfactory, above my expectations, ranging from indian to chinese all kind of food are made available.
Admission
I got in by giving JEE Advanced for which first we have to give the JEE Mains which has different eligibility marks for different categories. I was from general category. The forms can be found on jeemain.nta.nic.in. The admission process was quite smooth.
