Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this institute because I am near to this college and it is in my home town I know that the faculty are very highly experienced and they provide placement support. Most of the faculty have M.Tech degrees. They provide handwritten notes. They also check assignments in a weekly basis. The course structure of our institute is well structured if you only listen in the class you can easily get passed cause they are teaching very well.

Internships Opportunities

3

Mostly they provide companies with services like silicon tech lab. Mindfire and Qspider provide average packages like 2.5 to 3LPA. They also give projects like mern stack, java development and hardware projects.

Placement Experience

3.5

They provide placement support but in a very low manner cause mostly they provide placement support off-campus, on-campus packages are coming very less and on-campus packages give very average salaries like 2LPA per year. They provide pre-placement training for final-year students. In my batch, around 60%-70% of students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

In 2019 they charged 53000 per year. They also provide an Odisha state matric scholarship whose name is Prerana. They also provide financial support like study loan facilities. They also provide pre-placement training which helps us to get jobs and internships I got a job at ZS Scalar with a package of 3.5LPA.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is full of enjoyment. They conduct annual sports and branch fest. About the academic block, the class rooms are clean but the windows are getting old. There are clubs present like cultural, dance and music, NCC, Rss club. In the Library which name is the central library, there are all kinds of books available and the study room is situated in front of the library.

Admission

I enrolled on a 4-year computer science course. They accept both OJEE and JEE scores. After my +2(intermediate exam) I appeared JEE exam and got a decent rank after the jee exam I went through OJEE counselling and in my second round, I got selected. At that time they charge 53000 per year. They also provide state matric scholarships. All faculty are very humble they also help in every admission process.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
