Likes

Curriculum is quite good. Not very hectic and you can easily pursue other hobbies and interests. Teachers are qualified and teach quite well. You will have ample of time here and opportunities.
Hostels are great. After spending day in college we can finally go at a better place. Good hygiene and cleanliness of hostels is another great thing.
City is great. You can travel easily as there isn't much traffic. Beaches are very close to hostel.

Dislikes

Strict 80% attendance policy. Personally I think 80% is too high and it should be lowered at least to 70%
Sports facilies could be improved. We do have some facilities but they are not upto the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview

The reason why I chose Chemical Engineering is because the syllabus seemed very much what U would want to study. Good blend of physics and mathematics. The faculty here are very qualified. Most have done their Ph.D. from IITs and there is no shortage of faculties. You can get details about faculties on the IIPE website. There are 2 sems of 4 months each. Every sem has 2 exams, midsem and endsem. 30 + 50 . Course might be little hectic but exams are not tough to pass.

Internships Opportunities

Core internships are available through the college itself. For noncore internships like in tech you will have to try from your end college wouldn't help much because it's an energy-focused institute. But it's quite possible.

Placement Experience

Placements so far have been okay. Last year 97% of students got placed at avg of 9.7 lpa. Companies like ongc, hpcl, iocl, etc hire from our college. Tcs, wipro, etc also hire from the college. We have a new branch from this year, mechanical engineering whose first batch will pass out in 2027.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is about 1.5 lakh per year. Hostel 60k and mess 5500 pm. There are scholarships on financial basis. If your family income is below 1 lakh, 100% of tuition fees are off. And if below 5 lakh then 66% off.

Campus Life

We don't have a permanent campus yet but a temporary campus academic block is good enough. We have a sports fest which lasts 1 week after midsem usually. And in 2023 we had our first techno-cultural fest which was conducted successfully. We are trying our best as a student to make use of whatever resources we have. There are clubs in IIPE, litcom, tech, photography, etc. which you can join if you have interest in these fields. Library is small but all required books are available. You can issue them. Classrooms are air-conditioned and have projectors and boards.

Admission

Admissions for Btech are through JEE ADVANCED. The forms for admission are out after the JEE advanced result is declared. You can visit the admissions section of the IIPE official website and get the form. The application fee is quite nominal. Usually around 600 rs. The admission process is quite smooth. After the allotment of a seat, you will have to pay the fees to confirm the seat and then visit the college for physical verification.

The best and for some it could be worst part also , it doesn't matter whether you're a mechanical engineering student or EEE or CSE you should have to learn every single programming language from C to python including DSA and cloud computing which will help you to switch your career easily if you want. but however at the same time the mechanical students feel stressed alot. because they have to study their own field subjects which are not easy at the same time they have to clear the programming languages which are completely different from mechanical subjects

Placement Experience:

If I talk about my branch, as per my knowledge from 6th semester onwards the students can sit in the placement run. The college offers placement training with individual of expertise from that respective subject. Many top companies visit the campus to list out, AWS, INFOSYS, JMAN, TCS, IBM are some if them. More than 50 lakhs package is secured. The average lies around 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed varies from branch to branch and for some branches it's 100%, the average package for them would be 3 lakhs per annum, and the highest goes around 12 lakhs per annum. Students can apply off campus if they didn't get placed.

Actually i had less rank in jee advance exam so i didnt got any IIT in my counselling .Then i got to know about this college from internet . In our college students go admission based on their jee advance rank . So this is how i chosed this college. Our college is as per IITS in academic but the difference is that our college have only core braches so they focus on skills . And the is average placememt is also low as compairing to IITS but in compare to NITs it is smiliar with respective branches Admission process is simle student must have qualified jee advance and have cuttof marks in their 12th board exam as per their category and student should have some document like aadhar card , marksheet , TC , mediccal certificate , bank account , Admission for slip etc. Student have to submit all the required documents in hard copy ....Read More

IIPE is good in terms of Education and Placements but lacks Social LIfe and enjoyment like Fests and Programs.
