What Students Say
Likes
- The infrastructure is good , but the number of lifts (elevators) is less .
- I'd say that it is good but again that is highly dependent on the student
- 50-50 , some faculties are really good , others are somewhat decent or bad .
Dislikes
- The number of lifts in academic buildings are less .
- Some faculties ( 1/20 ) aren't able to communicate properly in English
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is standard and it's updated . I'd not say that curriculum itself is enough to make you industry ready but it gives you are strong foundation. Exams are frequent but they're not that difficult to score .
Placement Experience
3rd year onwards you can apply for internships and placements too I suppose . Almost all of the students get placed but I'm not sure of the average package for now . Some companies that crosses my mind is PayPal, fidelity etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise fee is 33500 after scholarship. Without scholarship it would be 335000 . Different types of hostels are available , I'd opted for 2 sharing AC room , which costs 200000 . This includes your laundry and mess .
Campus Life
Campus Life is pretty good , frequent events are conducted . Library is good as well . Classrooms are big and equipped well . A big ground , seperated into cricket football Tennis Volleyball is present . Other than that basketball, badminton etc are given seperate areas .
Hostel Facilities
Your room will have a study desk , your bed , an almirah and sometimes a shoe rack . AC rooms are provided too . Meals are fine honestly but someday the food is just not up to the mark . Registration process for us was somewhat simple , you'll just have to follow the procedure provided to you in your email / portal .
Admission
Main reason for choosing this college was the scholarship as I got 90% scholarship through SRMJEEE . I had othe options too but none of them provided this amount of scholarship . Also the hostels are relatively new so the experience of that would be good as well .
Faculty
1 faculty per 60 students ( as there are 60 students in a classroom ) but one faculty teaches 2 classes for a particular course ( or sometimes 3 ) and the faculty may be having multiple courses . There are 3-4 CLAs conducted, think of them as unit tests or classroom tests, 1 mid term exam and 1 end term exam .
Night Life
You're not allowed to roam around in the campus after 9 pm unless you've a good reason . 2 gyms are provided , I wouldn't say they're the best but they're okay . People usually hang around the basketball court .
