Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum at the University is definitely relevant and comprehensive. Here lab sessions are given the same importance as theory classes which will help in gaining practical knowledge along with theory . However Teaching methods definitely need improvement as faculty doesn't care about whether students are understanding the topic or not .They only care finishing their syllabus on time.2 semester examinations per year will be held and they are not that hard, you can easily get pass marks by referring to the materials provided by your respective faculty.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships are given from companies like aspire,Isuzu, APSSDC,etc. with roles such as AI/ML intern, Data science intern, Digital marketing intern, etc. Average stipend offered by these companies lie in the range of 15,000-25,000.

Placement Experience

4

Placements generally start after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS,etc has offered placements last year with no.of offers in the range between 5-15. Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is between 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after the completion of my graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

In SRM University AP year wise fee that I have paid is around 2,50,000-3,00,000. Tuition fee will be between 2,50,000-4,00,000 if you join through Management Quota and it will be 1,02,000 if you join through EAMCET counselling. caution fee will be 700 and should be paid every year.Registration fee should be paid before every semester examinations and it depends on the no.of exams you appear i.e.,for each subject you have to pay 500.Admission fee will be paid only in your first year and it is non refundable. There are no other fees like lab fees and development fees. Founder's scholarship gives 100% scholarship to top board rankers. Fees through SRMJEEE will vary from 2,50,000 to 3,00,000 depending on your rank in the exam.Except these there are no scholarships that university provides but you can search for scholarships from government and apply for them.

Campus Life

4

Infinitus is the biggest techno-cultural fest held in February or March during which many celebrities visit the campus and many events like musical night,Dj night will be held. Ameya is a BBA fest which is held in April. X-cube is one of the technical fest during which many events like hackathons, internships take place. Library present here have various types of books which are accessible both offline and online. You can rent a book for 15 days without having to pay any amount. Every classroom will have a AC , digital screen and fans. University supports sports and entracurricular activities in form of clubs which also helps in building friendship between seniors and juniors.

Hostel Facilities

4

Inside hostel every student will have a study table and seperate locker to store their essentials. Ac will be provided if you pay additional fee of 15,000. Mess quality is very bad, recently more than 200 students suffered from food poisoning. Since then they changed the food vendor and it is a little bit better as of now. Hostel registration will be held through online portal and it is a bit expensive.

Admission

After completing my intermediate I have applied for sastra University Thanjavur,SRM AP,VIT AP. However I couldn't get into sastra as I didn't get a CSE seat in it due to less marks and regional difference. Compared to VIT and SRM I thought SRM is better as it has better infrastructure, placements and good faculty. Students can get admission either through SRMJEEE or EAMCET . There is no cutoff rank for students through SRMJEEE. Cutoff for Students through EAMCET changes according to their caste. Students who are financially less stable prefer Joining through EAMCET. students who are weak in studies prefer Joining through SRMJEEE.

Faculty

4

Faculty-to-student ratio of SRM University AP is between 1:20-1:30. Most of the faculty present here are very cool and they are definitely approachable. There will be 2 semester examinations annually. Most of the students can get pass marks easily by referring to the materials provided by their respective faculty. No.of students who fail to clear the exams will be in the ratio 1:30.

Night Life

5

Night life at SRM is amazing with entire campus having trees and dim lights. Students generally sit and chat or play with their friends during night time with cool air all around. There will be separate gyms for boys and girls within their hostels which remain open throughout the day. Most of the cafetarias close by 6 PM except those inside mess. Library will be open till 10 PM in weekdays and it is closed during weekends. All students should report to their respective hostels by 9:30 PM in order to ensure safety. Most famous hangout places are Mess lawn, tree court area,Flag area and Sr block grandstairs. Locality is not that safe to roam around at night as it is located far away from city there will be no people only workers who are working in construction lives there.

Placement Experience:

From the completion of their 7th-semester students will be eligible for placements. Some of the MNCs like Infosys, Cognizant will be visiting our campus. Approximately 70% of registered students for placements will be placed. Some may place with one offer, some may get placed with multiple offers, based on their skills. The highest package up to my knowledge is 7 Lakhs. coming to the average package, it will be around 4 Lakhs. My plan after the degree is to get placed in a well-reputed company.

Remarks:

Good climate is not uncommon to think that the day you receive your diploma is the last day your college or university would help you in your career. This is far from the truth, however. Most colleges and universities across the nation have alumni associations that offer a range of benefits, perks, discounts, and most importantly, networking opportunities and events to help graduates make the most of their hard-earned degree after college. But alumni associations are a two-way street–in order to reap the benefits, graduates must also give back to their alma mater through gifts, membership fees, and volunteering. The following guide takes an in-depth look at alumni associations and their benefits and also helps students and graduates understand how to effectively leverage these networks and give back to future generations.
