Remarks

Overall I would say as, it's a life time experience to be there for two years and it's worth spending. But there are things like infrastructure, exposure to international platform is lacking. Otherwise best place to develop as a responsible personality for life.

Entrance Preview

Must have bachelor's degree in fashion or textile related subjects..There is a provision for industry people or lecturers, if they experience of 5 years in same field after any bachelor's degree, they are eligible

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It's really well planned curriculum for students's future career with respective fields like teaching, apparel and retail industry... many of them get motivated to start their own ventures like design house, boutique, Fashion studio etc. Some of them chosen to do freelancing designs too

Internships Opportunities

No.. right now there is no internship.. before there used to be internship in 2nd semester vacation and report to be submitted before 3rd semester starts. Now students get tie up for their projects, and other assignments.

Placement Experience

4

Many of them have placed in reputed apparel industries like Gokaldas Exports, Shahi Exports, Himatsingka etc.. in retail like reliance trends, brand factory, online like mantra, Amazon, flipkart etc.. Since university get associated for projects , industry people directly approach for filling various positions, accordingly passed out students will sent to their dream jobs

College Events

4

There are technical sessions like special lecturers from well known people from industry and academics, workshops from expertise personal, cultural activities like ethnic day, festival celebration, awareness programs such as Handloom Day, followed by quiz etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

Compared to any other private college, very nominal fee structure. One who really want sound education at economical fee, they can opt here and there are various scholarship available for eligible candidates like low income, backward and scheduled caste and tribes etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are available for low income level candidates. Backward classes and scheduled caste and tribes have concessions on fee which no one have dreamt of. University is really doing good for such needy candidates. I think even for candidates who belong to general category should be given scholarship at least when they get distinction

Campus Life

3.5

Since this university offers, higher education, I.e., masters degree, may be most of student's life ends there, and will remain memorable. Gender ratio always in this course dominated with female candidates more compared to male. I think less importance is given to sports, and competition.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are not up to the basic standards. Many students keep complaining about basic facilities provided there. No cleanliness is maintained, no proper food is provided. Heard that, the university is planning for providing better facilities. So, wishing at least this year they provide whatever they have promised

Alumni/Alumna

There are alumni meets organized by each department. This helps to know their achievement s, how they are using this degree in their life. It's an opportunity to meet them too. Most importantly university seek suggestions on course curriculum, activities and other related ones

Exam Structure

Exam structure is framed well with theory and practicals. Even assignments, industry visit reports, seminar presentation, internals tests, performance in labs are considered for internal Marks, which directly accounts for final marks percentage along with written exams.

Admission

It's purely based on merit basis. Need to score at least 55% in Bachelor's degree (Fashion and Textiles).. then core subjects will be considered for merit calculation. Based on rank alloted, one would get admission to course on counselling day. Preference is given to candidate based on rank

Faculty

5

They have expertise in their subjects, understand current requirements and teach accordingly. They too attend conferences and seminars to update their knowledge and they also provide opportunity for students to present their papers of their interest field.
